Sorry wps i feel your pain. The nerve of some people to put ole piss ahead of anyone is just wrong

I'm not sure where all this false bravado is coming from, but what exactly makes you think Ole Miss is dead and gone? MSU is a solid football program, no one is denying that, but Ole Miss still leads the series against MSU and up until the last three years and been, by popular opinion, the better program overall. No one stays down forever. They'll bounce back. You're being naive if you don't think so.

What did you expect from us? We are 5-0 and have jumped on teams got a good lead and took our foot off the gas. We have been very vanilla on offense and defense because we didn't have to do anything but that. You will See something totally different now that we are gettin to the meat of our schedule.

i honestly hope yall start showing something totally different for ya'll sake. yes you are 5-0 but to me personally yall have been less than impressive, especially on defense. the only time i saw what i expected out of that unit was the Jackson State game. my original judge of this team could very well turn out to be correct but i see plenty of pieces in place for yall to crumble in this tough stretch coming up.

In the last 20 years we have been even in the series. We both sucked during the 2000s but we were better in the 80s and 90s. Anything after the 60s and om has been just as bad as we have been

  • Auburn has NEVER had (4) 10 win seasons in a row. Ever. Auburn will always do what Auburn does. 8-4 seasons with a nice season to be proud of thrown in once every 4-5 years. That's just what Auburn has always done. Auburn fans should never have any long term dominance plans. Not happening Lenny.

How do you guys see the SEC West over the next five, ten years?

    1) Alabama
    2) LSU
    3) Texas A&M
    4) Ole Miss
    5) Mississippi State
    6) Arkansas
    7) Auburn

Arkansas and Auburn can really help themselves in the offseason with a homerun HC hire.

Bump for a new discussion post coaching hires.

By the way, Barners can suck. aTm is killing y'all right now.

Would move Arkansas to 4 and Auburn ahead of Mississippi St.

I think Arkansas would move up to five and Auburn and miss State tie for last.

I think Freeze has Ole Miss positioned well. If they can finish with Conner and Nkemdiche, they should begin a nice run and start to lock up Mississippi.

  • A&M at #2 and will "challenge" for #1.....sooner rather then later if Chavis ever leaves LSU.

LSU guys......no flame intended. Why can't LSU produce an offense that is as productive as you would expect given the quality offensive talent in Baton Rouge? LSU does less with more than anyone in the nation on offense. Even during the LSU 13-0 start in 2011, a good deal of the scoring was due to field position/turnovers and/or special teams.

Jabrill Peppers...More I watch, the more I'm convinced he is the best player in the 2014 class. Barring injury, he will do special things.

    2) Texas A&M/LSU
    4)Arkansas
    5)Ole Miss/Mississippi State/Auburn

This is dependent on a few variables.
    1) How long Saban stays at Alabama. As long as he is there, they will continue to be at the top.
    2) A&M and LSU will switch spots on a year to year basis as soon as A&M builds up the talent. One of these will on occasion of course be number 1.
    3) Think Arky made a good hire and he will have them competing for the west. Don't think there will be much of a drop off from the previous two.
4)The bottom three will change year in and year out but they will all have similar records over a 10 year span. Auburn has the best chance of getting out of the cellar depending on the coaching success. I really like the Ellis hire, will help them tremendously. Ole miss looks like they will be in position with Freeze to go from bottom feeder to middle of the pack but it's still Mississippi. Same with Mullin at MSU. Both will depend heavily on out of state recruiting which will be hit and miss.

  • 1. Bama- Just way too much talent and amazing coaching. Even when Saban leaves/retires he will have created an infrastructure and talent pool so large that even me and you could step in and win. We have the best facilities in the nation and we are still building, we have the most talent int he nation and we are still gathering, and we have the most tradition in the nation and we are still winning. It would be hard to make a case for anyone other than Bama at the number one spot.

    2. LSU- This was sort of tough because I think A&M has a bright future too. But LSU has been a large figure in SECW football for some time now. It's always, (insert team) and LSU fighting for the West. That could change, but as of now, they are at number two. They will win their fair share of games and Miles will lead them to a ton of very good bowl games. If they finally put the last piece of the puzzle together and get a QB, watch out. They will be as dangerous as anyone int he country.

    3. Texas A&M- Manzell was on the scout team as a WR before Sumlin got there. Nuts, huh? Well, this new staff has now found the perfect fit for their system and I would be shocked if Manzell doesn't win a NC before he is done. After him though, we will see where the chips fall. Sumlin appears to be taking advantage of the situation by recruiting, and that's what he needs to do. They could easily be in the number two spot IMO.

    4. Ole Miss- OK, I was wrong about Freeze. Like, really, really wrong. Dude has not only been an amazing hire on the field, but off, he has put together an amazing class. If he continues to recruit and coach like he does and Ole Miss can lock him down, he will get them to a point where they win 8 games a year and have a chance at 10 every once in a while. Hell, they could even make a run at the West one year maybe.

    5. AU- Gus is not an elite head coach IMO. But what separates him and AU from the bottom two is fan support and facilities. AU has them beat in both. That may not sound like a big deal, but it is. They will get better players based on their name alone. Gus will score points and that will attract offensive recruits. That is, unless he shits the bed the first two years. Then all bets are off and they might be in the basement. There is quite a situation going on at AU right now. Their next two years are as important for their future as anyone's in college football. Will they rise and regain the 4th spot? Or will they make a mistake with Gus and fall into the same abyss Tennessee has fallen into? Time will tell....

    6. Mississippi State- Tough call for number 6. I think after the top 4 it becomes muddled and it's a crap shoot. But I'll go with Dan Mullen at 5th right now. He has done a great job coaching, but a decent job recruiting. He will need to pick it up if he hopes to climb any higher. A great QB is a much for his system and he needs to be out there signing one every year. If he does that, he can rise. If not, then his record will be indicative to how average his QB is. 6 wins? 7? 8 wins? Or no bowl? We will see...

    7. Arkansas- You know it's tough in the SEC when you are putting Arkansas last. This is a guess and I could see them climbing much higher. But as on now, they have a rebuilding job to do to go along with implementing a new system. A system that is the opposite of the one they were running under the previous regime. I love that they are getting back to power football. I am convinced unless you have a Heisman QB at the helm, then it's almost impossible to win and win big in the SEC with a spread. They only question I have is, can they recruit well enough to compete with the big dogs? I don't know, but it will be fun to see how it works out.

4 years before this year it was because of our QB, this year Mett was learning then came on strong. We finally have solid QBs recruited, but I think we need a different OC. Hoping for Moken reunites with Miles
