SEC crying about their lack of basketball respect.

    Hopefully we can meet again in a few years. Still don't see what this has to do with the SEC being a bad basketball conference this year and that their bitching about only 3 tournament spots is unjustified.

    SEC shouldn't complain or be unhappy. The conference was atrocious this season and didn't deserve more than 2-3 teams. Bama sure didn't belong because we don't have an offense and haven't since Grant took over.

    Borges took a lot of heat from Mich fans this year. I think he was crippled by Denard Robinson though.

    Time to let the dogs out now.. Gardner fits his system well.

    Agree. SEC could have gotten a 4th and maybe a 5th if teams like Bama, UK, and Tennessee didn't choke down the stretch, but 3 was right for this year.

    Grant is awful.

    I agree.

    One reason I questioned Hoke last season honestly.

    I am giving him a pass though as he would have been crucified if he would have gone with Gardner from the start and had the same results, IMO.

    Well to be fair Gardner looked awful in the spring game, He had trouble even completing short little dump-offs. How Gardner exploded on the scene and played as well as he did is still a mystery. lol Also, if you saw our other backup QB Russell Bellomy play against Nebraska, you'd know how terrible he looked. At the start of the season Denard Robinson was honestly the best option as sad as that is.

    The thread is about a bunch of SEC coaches whining about not making the NCAA tournament because they suck but don't think so. Did you read the original post?

    The thread was made before the tourney because you don't get invited after the tourney. What don't you understand?

    This thread has turned a few ways. I get the thread. I don't know why anyone is complaining. I have said since mid season that the SEC was awful in basketball this year. I haven't seen it this bad in a long time. Lot of that has to do with the fact we have just so many new coaches in the conference trying to build something.

    It's the tournament, anything can happen. Especially this year. I can see Florida running a long way. I have them doing so in a bracket.

    It was probably worse in 08-09.

    Roll damn tide.

    BTW my true feelings about this year in NCAA basketball is that you have about 60 teams that with a call here or there and a player getting hot at the right time, the 60th team could beat the 1st team. That's why I'm looking forward to this tournament.

    I don't think recruiting better players is the answer. If you look at the last 3 NBA drafts, the SEC leads in the number of players selected by a pretty wide margin. Just a down year this season.

    In the last 3 years:

    SEC- 28 Big East- 19 ACC- 23 B1G- 9 Big12- 23 PAC12- 13

    I've said the coaching sucks balls in the SEC... Other than Midnight Billy, the cupboard is bare and that includes Cal....

    Look, the Big 10 is a lot better than the SEC in basketball right now. Y'all are very good and we are very bad, there's no disputing that.

    However, there is also no disputing the fact that the SEC has 3 national titles in b'ball since the Big 10 last won one. Your conference is strong but you can't win the big one while the SEC can. Yes, Florida and Kentucky are the only true powers we have right now but hey...those are SEC teams.

    Please keep championing the fact that your conference is deeper than ours in basketball even though our teams can win titles, your's can't, football is more important and we dominate everyone at that. It's not sad, promise.

    I actually really enjoyed watching the Big 10 play basketball this season, btw. Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin played some unreal games.

    But.. We could honestly care less.
    If the BIG focused on basketball we wouldn't say anything. But you guys actually care about football and are still terrible. That's the difference
