  • Who's the best DB in the 2014 class:

    Jabrill Peppers?
    Edward Paris?
    Quin Blanding?
    Marlon Humphrey?
    Tony Brown?
    Jalen Tabor?
    Laurence Jones?
    Nick Watkins?
    Adoree' Jackson?
    Davion Hall?
    Nick Harvey?

Which one is he most versatile?

Is the 2014 DB class top heavy or the really deep?

    TIA!

Last Friday on twitter saw a lot of great comments regarding Demar Dorsey's little bro. What's the kids name and how good is he?

    Sorry man, couldn't tell you.

J/K .... It's Eddie Jackson ... 2013 WR from Boyd Anderson. Only seen him in 7 on 7 ... Very good speed. That's about all I can tell you ... not a big target right now

What do you think about Isaac Rochell as a player?

Very, very talented. ... But given his size I -- like most people in this biz -- like him at OT. ... Just has a much better body for that position. Tall and lean, great feet. I think he'll end up there someday

you see Tenn being able to make some noise with some top players??

RB: Henry and D. Green .... Top 2 or 3 with both.
Still think they're in it with DB MacKensie Alexander ...
And, of course, Von Bell ...

    That's 4 they're in with ...

Toby Johnson, the DL stud from Juco, ... another to watch. Vols are a major player there.

  • Do you think Freeze could get Ole Miss a top 20 recruiting class this year?

    1. No clue on North ... even the colleges are in the dark. Anyone that tells you they know what he'll do is full of it
    2. I'm leaning Clemson on Crowder right now.
    3. I've never talked to Miller. Don't have a read on him

Non-issue in the case of the de-commits

A few of these kids had off-the-field issues to work thru.

Don't believe what's your thinking is a big deal at all. UF doesn't like its commits to visit other schools, but it happens. Marqui Haskins is a kid that will check other places out.

Again, not really an issue ... Not why those kids no longer are UF commits

appreciate the response. i dont keep up with UF much and didnt know if that was a factor.

what do you think of roderrick hoskins from orlando evans? his rating is all over the place, some high some not.

Since we have Peppers rated highest, he has to be the pick. That is, after all, why we rank them.

Of the guys I've seen, I really like Blanding a lot ... So versatile, so talented at the safety position. Not much he can't do.

2014 is very solid, and very deep at DB and safety. More so than other years? Way too early to make that call. What we do know is that there are some elite players in this group.

  • Keith, who do you view as the top QB's from the 2014 class that might make an impact in the SEC or ACC ?

Since Ole Miss is 24th right now, of course it's possible. Got to keep the ones they have, and land a few big ones down the stretch. Antonio Conner would be a monster get.

Yes, VERY quiet --- kid doesn't talk much. Vols have a shot. Possibly a team like UF, too. But right now, we're kind of thinking Clemson may be the one to watch. Of course with this kid, it can change in an instant.

Good size. Runs well. Has that extra burst. Think he does a nice job fighting off and fighting thru blocks. Lot of his film is of him as a standup guy on the edge. So it remains to be seen how well he can drop into coverage. Raw, but the athleticism is there.

Will Grier of NC and Drew Barker of Kentucky are 2 to watch. For Grier, it could be a UF-Vols-UNC type of battle. Good player with a big arm. Barker is at the top of South Carolina's wish list. I think he also has a good bit of interest from Bama. If Ohio State ever offered, they'd probably be his No. 1 but I'm not sure it will happen.

Very early with him ... so no leaders yet. But obviously, I'd watch for South Carolina and Clemson. He told me he's not locked into staying in his region, though

I've seen him, and he's impressive. Great punch. Great strength. Excellent feet. Nice body quickness. Extremely sound kick-step. Perfect demeanor. Doesn't get flustered. This kid gets it. Technique-wise, he's pretty advanced for a 2014 kid.

    A major target for sure.

-Still in front with Gilmore. UF is biggest threat. Mom likes Gville crew.
-LSU feels good about Beckwith ... Bama still in it somewhat
-LSU/Miami for Williams ... At end of the day, think you gotta go with LSU as the pick

6-3/205 at safety ... You wonder if he'll grow into an OLB. To me, he looks like an OLB. Not only size size, but also the way he moves.

I think these are both national-recruit type of kids. Of the two, I've only seen Hood in person. Could play RB or LB ... Kind of like him at LB ... He's a little upright, and that's my concern with him at RB. But he moves well, and is solidly built. Compact frame. Definitely an outstanding young athlete.

Register has that perfect OLB/DE body. I expect things to really take off for him
