SI Mock Draft

  • Very possible the Bills take a first round QB. Buddy Nix is also prone to take CB's, and even with Gilmore we're short at CB for sure.

  • I'd be ecstatic if the Lions got Milliner. We need CBs or LBs badly.

  • Any worthy safeties? Baccari Rambo, Eric Reid best at the position? I can't stand Kurt Colemans soft play anymore. He went to Ohio State to boot.

Reid hasn't had the best year, but he's the best of the bunch for sure IMO.

DJ Swearinger. Busts his ass off the field and can play nickel if needed. Clemson fans hate him because he's got attitude in his playing style, but he's a head hunter, been a team leader for 2 years, starter for 3, and played heavily as a freshman.

2nd team all-SEC this year, IIRC. Kid's just a football junkie.

No way we go QB first round. Nix and Gailey have talked about being able to find them in the second round, and when Buddy speaks you listen because he doesn't lie or posture the media. Buddy ain't playing games.

I haven't been paying attention to what they say. Frankly, I'm sick of Gailey and outside of Spiller and Mario Williams, I haven't been impressed with Nix either.

They can certainly find QB's in the 2nd round, but depending on how they phrased their statements, that doesn't preclude a QB being taken in the first.

    Are they ever?

This is about the worst I have ever seen.

A guard at #4? A LB at #3? 4 out of the top 6 picks being OL? Yeh right.

either Fluker or Jones would make me happy. Packers have only 6 healthy O Lineman right now they will go OL several times this draft.

Yep. Packers do need to pick up an OL, but they also need those OL they've drafted recently to develop into good players.

Bulaga is pretty good when healthy. The problem is they have too many backups and guys who just aren't very good right now. They should go OL a lot in this draft. Pass protection has been atrocious at times this year.

Sherrod was playing pretty well last year before he destroyed his leg against the Chiefs. Hopefully he can get healthy, but I have a bad feeling that injury ends his career.

Bulaga is pretty good, not great still very young though.

I will bet they go with Jones and he will take over when Saturday retires and until then he'll be like Dietrich-Smith and be the utility guy filling in wherever he is needed.

I'm pretty sure we have the two worst starting safeties in the league.

Bradham is coming on strong and took the starting job. I will say that our LB's are far from impressive, so getting a starting job isn't a huge deal, but he's looked pretty good. Powell is kicking quite well. Allowed a few returns, but overall has a much better net average than Moorman did this year.

Yeah, and I'm just not a fan of Gailey's offense. Way too predictable. Part of the problem is definitely Fitzpatrick and 1) his inaccuracy, and 2) his inability to throw deep. You'd think after 3+ years as starter he'd figure out how to throw deep. No, he still overthrows it every time.

We have below-average talent, but the coaching is horrendous. This was THE year with a super-soft schedule. The fact that we have a losing record right now with the softest schedule we've had in years (decades, maybe) is very telling.
