OSU got a slap on the wrist and you know it.
We also have no idea what is going to happen to Oregon, Syracuse or Miami at this point. Syracuse is also way different isn't it? I thought Syracuse was child issues like with Penn State unless I missed something.
So basically USC got screwed but that wasn't just yahoo. I would say that the agent going on HBO's Real Sports and laying it all out there did more to hurt them than yahoo did. I'm not saying that the other three schools won't get hammered or anything. I'm just saying that yahoo reporting on a school's misdoings is not a sign of the apocalypse.

To me this is the only important post in this thread. It would be different if Robinson were getting this stuff from just some "Joes" off the street. He's not, he's getting it from an NCAA employee. Have to remember that the NCAA can only go with what they've been told and what they believe. That was the downfall in the OSU and Auburn investigations. They could only go with what they knew. If Pryor had stayed in school and talked or someone close enough to the Newton's to be credible had talked, those schools would have been in mch more trouble. The NCAA is getting stuff from former Miami employees. That is not good. Miami is in trouble. To what extent, who knows with the NCAA, but they're gonna get hit. The only question is how hard?

Statement from Al Golden:
"I have been a college football coach for more than 18 years and I am proud of--and I stand by--my record of compliance over that span. As my colleagues and players on all of my teams can attest, I believe strongly in doing things the right way with the best of intentions. The inferences and suggestions in the Yahoo! Sports story that my conduct was anything but ethical are simply false. I, like all of us at UM, have cooperated fully with the joint NCAA-UM inquiry and will continue to do so, so that our program and our University can move forward.
Because the process is on-going, I am unable to address any specifics or answer questions on the matter."

Come on, the ole tiresome hater in the house post....
Look who really knows who to believe anyways... bottom line still doesn't look good of Miami regardless... bad press is bad press... and right now UM is not in the beat of places to have bad press at all...
