Well that is a bit disturbing.

General consensus has been one of the 3 reactions:

And it was a mentally handicapped defensive player who said no way. Think LB, steroids, and brain trauma.

Actually Chris Mortensen has come out and said that John Ritchie, who is now an analyst with ESPN, is claiming the same thing that Tim Brown is. Saying that the day before Barrett Robins went nuts in Tijuana was when Callahan changed the gameplan.

He claims that their plan leading up until about 36 hours before kickoff was to ground and pound them. Now you have two pretty credible players on that team saying that something fishy was going on.

You have to think that this story is going to grow some legs pretty quick. I mean when accusations about fixing a Super Bowl are getting thrown out there, you have to believe that this will be the next big story you hear. Manti Te'o, you can now officially remove the noose from your neck.

Well I would hate his fvcking guts at this point if I were a Raiders fan. Even if he didn't "sabotage" the thing purposefully, what kind of coach switches up his game plan less then a day and a half before kickoff of the Super Bowl?

This is also something to think about. Your pro-bowl center goes batshit crazy basically twelve hours after this whole complete change of schemes occurs. Being a center at any level is extremely difficult, but on the pro's it is almost impossible. I mean the center is the qb on all of the offenses blocking schemes. It's not the Raiders fault that the guy was bipolar or anything, BUT do you think that might have just been something that could have pushed the guy over the edge.

You tell a bipolar NFL center less than a day and a half before the Super Bowl that everything we have prepared for is getting scrapped and you are going to have to adjust? That is like fvcking a 400 lb woman on a waterbed from the early 80's. You are basically just asking for the thing to pop.

Man I hate to bring this up, but today being the anniversary of Paterno's death today makes you really think about just how insignificant that Te'o lying about a girlfriend is.

It's weird and I don't get it and all but at least nobody was hurt. I mean Paterno lied about knowing things that could have saved children's lives and didn't because he thought it would tarnish HIS image. People are trying to distance that atrocity when it comes to Paterno and trying to jump on Te'o in the same breath. Just shows you how the hot story is the only one that counts I guess.

Just to clear this up, Paterno didn't lie about anything.

Look, we went over this 100 times, but the evidence that "proved" that Paterno lied is a single email that refered to "coach". In every other email, Paterno is refered to as Joe. Sandusky was a "coach" as well.

I don't want this to turn into a pissing match. It would not surprise me if Paterno knew about 1998, but Sandusky was investigated and not charged in 1998. So I don't see how that is relavent. Paterno passed the buck on the info McQueary gave him... I am disappointed that he didn't do more. But putting the onus on your superiors in such a matter is not damning. He didn't want to deal with it and thought that the people above him would.
