So you fact check and find no record at her being at Stanford, hmmm. That doesn't sound like fact checking at all.
Not too mention him never visiting the love of his life once when she is near death after a car wreck, yes that sounds totally plausible. This after he "fact-checked" the car accident and couldn't find any information on it.
How about you fact check her taking over for her dad as an executive at a construction company, because those jobs are just handed to 22 year olds with no experience all the time.
Then there is the funeral that didn't exist, nice "fact-checking" there as well.
It's crazy that the bigger story was staring him in the face, and he choose to overlook it. Well, there really is no reason other than being a shitty journalist.
As I said before, there was way too much unbelievable in Te'o's statements to take him at his word.
