Saban to the Browns rumors heating up

  • Lesticals said...

The difference is LSU has homegrown talent that will never go away.. If Saban leaves and the new guy can't get those beast OOS recruits, Bama won't be nearly as good.

Yeah, goshamighty. I lived in Louisiana through the Mike Archer, Curley Hallman, Gerry DiNardo years. In truth, I don't even give credit to Saban for completely building it at LSU. DiNardo did a tremendous job trying to build that wall around Louisiana and keeping guys like Kevin Faulk, Cecil Collins, Booger McFarland, Gabe Northern, the Bootys at home. I think Northern was his.

Anyway, DiNardo couldn't keep it up on the field. But Saban came in and kept that wall up, and the only one that has had any real success at coming back into Louisiana and getting some of the great players is ... Saban.

  • Saban is interviewing coaches, Cole was right. He was just wrong that is was for the Browns. His source meant he was interviewing coaches for the Alabama defensive backs job. No biggie, small mistake and stuff.

BEREA, Ohio -- Alabama coach Nick Saban, who's reportedly on the Browns short list of head coaching candidates, means it when he says he's not leaving Alabama and has not been interviewing assistants to join him in Cleveland, sources said. A report on yahoo.com said Saban has already been interviewing candidates for his staff with the Browns, but the sources explained that Saban has been interviewing for his defensive backs coach vacancy at Alabama.

  • The Browns would be dumb to get rid of the coach they have now.

But, if Saban does go and Meyer goes to Bama, I'm all in. Would love to get that weasel out of the B1G.
