Texas is going to beat WVU unless they turn it over multiple times. They can run the ball and leave Geno on the bench.

You think The Bucks -4 against Neb is a safe bet? We won the last game by 1, if we win by more than a field goal I'd be surprised. I also think UGA upsets USCe.

    Yeah, I said it.

All those teams might win, but FSU is probably the only one I would classify as safe. The rest of them seem like pretty much even games to me

Texas will not stop Geno Smith.

Stopping the run is actually the only strength of the defense. Texas will need to throw the ball, as shown by Baylor. Ash could have a career day, but will it be enough to keep up with Geno?

Florida St is going to slaughter NC St.

Ohio St imo will win by 10 or more points. nebraska D is terrible, or defense gives up a lot of yards but no points.

SC has an elite D, and UGA D is terrible. I think SC wins 6 or more.

Vandy is just a terrible team, even Mizzou should be able to blow them out.

Professional guys disagree with you on a couple of these. Goodluck though.

It is..and that illustrates how terrible your D is.

Marshall. 132 yards. Ranked 50 in rushing
James Madison. 188 yards. division 2
    Maryland. 49 yards. 119 ranking
    Baylor. 119. 59 ranking

Texas is top 30..... They are going to run IMO.

  • Texas Bread and Butter is the run game, and they also have a pretty solid defense even though Ole Miss put up 30+ on them. I still picked Texas to win the game.

I would never say SAFE. Thank God that I won a fortune on KSU/OU the week before because I took a hit last week.

Marshall - Average 2.9 yards per rush.
James Madison - Average 3.8 yards per rush, and that was with a fluke 60 some yard run on one play.
Maryland - 1.3 yards per rush
Baylor - 2.6 yards per rush

The total numbers are great and all, but do you want to know why they had some rushing yards? Because of how many more snaps a game they get vs. WVU. For instance, Baylor got 92 snaps against WVU. That is way WAY over the average of any other team. WVU either scores quickly(which is more times than not) or punts it back pretty quickly. That causes more plays for the other team.

Will Texas get some rushing yards? Of course they will. WVU is hoping they run the ball, because our rush defense is pretty much the only strength on that side of the ball.

Your rushing defense has not faced any good run teams yet, so Texas will be the big test for them just like Clemsons spread attack was a huge test for our defense.

Oh, I know. I was just pointing out that even though we gave up some rushing yards, the numbers are skewed a bit. You can see that by the average per rush.

I'm really looking forward to your game this weekend. I want to see what Geno Smith does as well. If he puts up real good numbers against them as well then I really think he wins the Heisman. I also think that your team will end up winning the Big XII if you get by Texas. I know that you also have to play OU, OK State, Tech and can't remember the other tough one you have, but you guys have some tough games ahead of you. I know that OK State "should have" beat Texas but I don't see them matching up as well against WVU as they did against Texas.

    Why is that?

It's not like you looked exactly high powered against the dumpster fire that is Wisconsin this year. You are seriously lucky that you even won that game.

Not after what I saw against a bad Auburn team and Towsen back to back weeks. Taking Florida, but I guess LSU could pull it off.
