  • I have the thunderbolt with an extended battery. I have a case on it so its just a little taller than my sisters iphone that she put in an otterbox case. 4g is awesome and I go all day with it without a charge, not much more you could ask for

    No lags or anything.

I believe google was catching a lot of flak about some manufactures not doing upgrades even though it was possible. I think that is about to stop, only thing that stinks is that the manufacturer takes longer to overlay their skin on top and then verizon or the service provider has to ok it.

other than that; all the phones do the same thing. you will have fanboys being fanboys for everything. The only thing that apple has is ease of use; trying to tell people (especially people over the age of 40) to root their device so they can get superuser authority is pretty funny.

another thing that bugs me is all the cheap android devices out there; people buy these and expect it to do the same thing as an iphone or more expensive droid device which is ridicoous. you wouldn't expect a $300 laptop to perform the same as a macbook or higher end laptop

  • Just went in and played around with both the Note and 4s. Note kills it in just about everything. I doubt I ever get on my PC to look at this board after today again. The biggest screen, highest resolution, 8 megapixel camera, 1080p pics and videos, 1.5 GHz processor blows the 4s away. That is even higher than the Nexus which has a 1.3 GHz processor.

    Can't wait for tomorrow!

    That is a monster processor.

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

It has really good specs, but I think it is too damn big.

If I'm going to get this phone, I'm going to have to do one of the following:
    1) buy cargo shorts/pants to hold phone
    2) buy hip holster like an Inidian IT guy

This. iphone 4 is hard enough to get out of my pockets. The Galaxy is like a damn tablet.

Just left the AT&T store and I played around with this phone. 5" screen that has a beautiful picture, android os. Anyone have it and can give opinions? Time for an upgrade, and trying to stay away from the iPhone 4s.

Best advice is to wait a couple of months and buy an Android phone that has Tegra3. Tegra3 is quad-core processor @ 1.5GHz + 1 additional battery saver core + a 12-core GPU.

I wear plaid and khaki shorts 9 months out of the year, so my pockets are plenty big enough for the Note. The specs on the phone are too good to pass up.

And coolstorybro, I'm done waiting. I have this 3GS and the thing is so slow I can barely flip through my screens on the home page. There will ALWAYS be something better a couple months away. As of right now, it looks like the Note and MAXX are the top of the line phones on the market. Wait, is the MAXX out? I know its close.

well if you have to have a phone right now....the 2 best Andorid phones are the Razr MAXX and the Galaxy Nexus. I would go with the nexus because its stock android and is a developer phone meaning updates to Android OS go to it 1st before any other model phone.

But really, by April or may there will be Tegra3 phones (ZTE and HTC) both have announced them. These phones will blow away every phone out there

Specs are overrated. Stock ice cream sandwich is the way to go.

Agree to disagree. I have read up on Ice Cream Sandwich, and I'll take higher specs and Gingerbread over lower specs with Ice Cream Sandwich.

the Note is a no go for me at least. It's a 5.3" screen. Its enormous. I almost don't even consider it a phone

That is one of the great things about it, IMO. Huge screen with that kind of resolution. I mostly surf the web and text, so its perfect for me.

then get it. its more powerful than the Nexus but i really wasn't including it in comparison cuz the avg user would think the phone is way too big
