Santorum to Suspend Presidential Campaign - NYTimes.com

Rick Santorum is suspending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination on Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of his plans, bowing to the inevitability of Mitt Romney's nomination and ending his improbable, come-from-behind quest to become the party's conservative standard-bearer in the fall.

I personally know quite a few people who refuse to vote for a Mormon or a Christian extremist/Muslim/closet atheist.

I guess theyre staying home in Novemeber.

Obama pretty much legislates the way he campaigned...left of center. He was pretty upfront about what he was going to do.

i dont mind his religieous affiliates. its the record that he has. he has always voted for higher taxes, and more Governental control. which puts him in the same corner as Obama. so why vote for either, or atleast keep the current idiot in office. just saying there will be little to no difference between him or Obama.

  • I'd also like to mention that Santorum was like the homeless version of Mike Huckabee. Huck would have slaughtered Romney, based on what Rick - an incredibly flawed candidate - was able to accomplish.

Not as left of center as he campaigned IMO,but slightly left of center. It seems more so because of the relativity of the vast shift to the right by the Right since '08.

That's pathetic. If you're a conservative, there's plenty of reason to vote to keep the GOP house and Romney as President. Even though as a moderate I'm terrified of such an outcome, but I respect a lot of honest conservative voters who do think that way. What I don't respect is people who refuse to vote, and then b!tch.

my simple logic is to keep who we have in office rather than get an unknown in office that i dont like. based upon his voting record.

Those words will get you into big trouble around here. Haha.

But seriously, there is not much difference except in the indirect influence of POTUS: appointments. I'd much rather have Obama appointments than Romney.

I am a bigger fan of Romney's economic platform than Obama's.
