we watched SPR in a capstone course i took my last semester that studied the film. it was pretty awesome dissecting the film and studying some of the interviews that Spielberg and the crew did explaining the rhetoric within the film.

Not a fan. The opening scene was well done but the movie was full of typical speilberg garbage, trying at every turn to tug on the heartstrings. Not a fan of Speilberg in general.

I've always been a little less enthusiastic than others about that one. Sheen was very good, not Brando at his best obviously. I like Full Metal Jacket a lot as well.
