  • In your conference?

    Combining football, Basketball and Baseball?

    SEC:

-Florida (good in all 3 most of the time)

-Tennessee (good FB history, good basketball history)

    - LSU (FB is up there, Baseball has best baseball history in the SEC, Basketball has some good years too)

    - Alabama (Football is obvious, 2nd in the SEC with 6 basketball NCAA champs, baseball sucks)

    - UGA (solid in football in their history, decent in baseball and a solid basketball history)

I wasn't sure who to put 5th, a few teams could go there. I wasn't going to add Bama but their football history is so impressive and I didn't know they had 6 NCAA b-ball titles.

    Anyways, what say you?

EDIT: might have to replace Bama.. They don't have any basketball titles so my info is wrong..

  • ACC

Miami has a very solid football and baseball history. Basketball is playing great this year.

Not sure if any other team qualifies.

Alabama doesn't have a single national championship in basketball.

  • B1G: Michigan, OSU, PSU, Nebraska, MSU. If we were including hockey I'd throw Minnesota into the discussion.

I'd probably pick a different sport from baseball for the B1G. Even though Michigan isn't bad, the conference clearly doesn't emphasize it. Or just go with football/basketball and nothing else.

Yeah, I would focus on football/basketball/hockey, if anything. Nebraska brings a bit in the way of baseball, but the B1G really doesn't emphasize baseball much at all.

Wrestling maybe - hockey automatically excludes 6 schools and PSU just started this year, so it's only 5 schools with history vs. wrestling which is pretty big conference wide.

Haha. Iowa would enter the conversation if wrestling is included - easily the best program in recent history and it's not even close (20+ national championships since 1975).

  • Bama baseball has sucked for a few years but our history doesn't suck (leads SEC in all-time wins, 2nd in SEC championships, most players made it to MLB, etc)

Will say first time I meet Skip I was a little awe struck just cause he was the man at that time in college baseball

Skip was the main speaker at the Tennessee coaching clinic this year in Franklin. Got to listen to him talk baseball for a total of 3 hours over two days. He knows the game inside and out. His knowledge on how to coach up, and get the most out his players blew me away. Truly a great man!

Well USC has the most nattys in baseball and ucla in basketball. Of course we have USC FB. That leaves Arizona with prolly quite a few basketball conf titles. Maybe Washington for football or az state for baseball

Doesn't SC have good T&F? Stanford has good baseball I think. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are decent
