  • Maybe I'm just tired and thought of something strange, but who designed the deaths head logo you have on your front page? Is that Nike?

A white skull and S shapes on a black background seems pretty Nazi SS to me (skull and runes). Am I the only one?

How many 247 recruiting "gurus" have seen Jalin Marshall in person? One, Steve? Just curious. There won't be many, if any, better overall athletes there. Very good basketball player with well over a 30 inch vertical, DI (large school) state champ in the long jump and a ton of yards at QB for Middletown. He is a playmaker at any level and a "football" player. He should test very well but all you have to do is see him in person or on film when he is in pads to realize he is one of the top players in the country.

I've seen him in person on a few different occasions. Great athlete. Not a WR yet. Raw but uber talented

Agree totally. Hopefully he makes a smooth transition to WR.

Priest Willis' roommate is USC commit Chris Hawkins.

The closer he gets to USC's commits, I think the less and less chance he ends up leaving Arizona and coming to Louisiana. It will be very telling if he visits LSU with Tahaan Goodman for the Alabama game in November.

We have him ranked as one of the top prospects in the country, don't we?

They'll make the game and it won't bother me a bit.

Who wouldn't wanna see that game live, if they could?

  • Now that Hawkins has made the top 100 if he preforms like he had been preforming at every camp does he have a legit chance to move up to five stars or is he just wasting his time going to these events

Not really, we know they're close. It's nothing new to us.

Shaq Thompson and Arik Armstead are buddies and they went to different schools.

But Oregon fans used Shaq's friendship with AA to feed their firm belief that Shaq was going to Oregon.

Oregon fans got all butthurt when Shaq picked UW.

Shea, I don't think it matters if Tahaan and Priest go to the LSU game at all. It will be a great atmosphere and definitely something everyone should experience, but in the end, there will be other factors that will keep them on the West Coast.

That's not true. At least not with the Duck Territory posters or fans I associate with, maybe those silly bandwagon fans. We were all aware it was a long shot with Shaq all along.

Butthurt was last thing Oregon fans were when Shaq picked UW. Especially since we already has a commit from Reggie Daniels.

Right now, receiver, but like I said earlier, they could use some guys at different spots during the event.

I doubt he will ever be a five-star prospect. Rankings are projections, not who does the best at 7-on-7 or camps.

I don't understand why you would call going to "The Opening" and competing against some of the top prospects in the country in a camp setting on national TV a waste of time based on a potential star rating.

  • There were most definitely posts on Duckterritory about Shaq to UO. Granted, a lot of people were guessing UW, but at the end of their posts they'd say something like "but I think Armstead might flip him"

Ever since he chose UW, there have been some pretty childish posts about him.

BTW, did you just compare Reggie Daniels to Shaq Thompson? Hmmm. There's a reason Daniels' next best offer was Notre Dame. No real elite offers.

    Two comments on that:

    1) I'll admit that we took that as a big plus but it was far from the singular reason we felt good about Shaq. If you only knew how close it was. He doesn't take that last minute UOV to Washington, he's playing at Oregon this season.

    2) I wouldn't say Oregon fans were butthurt, we took it all along as a luxury. Of course getting Shaq would have been killer but we weren't crying in the corner with Reggie Daniels already committed. Not saying Daniels is Shaq but he's a legit 4-star safety in this own right.

  • My fault the explanation I would give for that is if he is competing against the best players in the country and constantly shining and being called one of the top db's everywhere he goes than i'm trying to figure out why should he even go. It seems to me the only negative thing that has been said about him is he is skinny. This makes the ranking system come into question because if you look at the NFL draft the top corners where 5”10,5”11 and they weighed 180. That being said we know he is at least 5”11 165 to 170. My point is if he was 180 as junior in high school then he would be 5 stars???. Then the system is flawed, it is supposed to be about who can play. Not who weighs the most. Not only that most kids that weigh that much will probably end up playing safety
