I get that, but VY was better in HS that Swoopes is. As far as throwing the ball goes. If you notice Swoopes overstrides because of his height and gets that 3/4 delievery out by pushing is a lot. VY didn't have to push the ball. he had a similar release, but it wasn't as drawn out as Swoopes is. Swoopes is very raw mechanically and his throwing motion is going to have to worked on. Not necessarily a complete overhaul, but he's got a lot to work on.

You probably saw more of Vince then me, but both looked the same at this stage of their career to me...

VY was the #1 recruit when he came out. although that was not until the season was over. i agree VY was the best athlete on the field every game he played in HS. the difference is VY played against the very best of texas HS football. He played at the 5a level. swoopes plays at the 2a level. the enrollments for those levels now are 2065 and above for 5a and 200-429 for 2a. that is quite a level of difference in competition.

I think you are missing what I am saying... there are guys who play QB in HS who don't know how to okay the position but their talents allow them to get away with certain things, and to me VY was that in HS... one in college and once he learned how to play the position he excelled and killed it..... that is all I am saying about him and Swoops, not that they were not good but they didn't know how to play the position like a Max Browne or Andrew Luck and so forth...

Swoopes is a terrible QB prospect. The ony reason he got a free 5 star ranking on rivals was bc Geoff Ketchum of orangebloods.com pitched a hissy fit until rivals bumped him. He should be a high 3 star prospect on all the recruiting sites.

VY was on another level in HS, as a thrower naturally and an athlete.
