  • Morris is definitely looking better then Browne, Kamara is doing the work for Browne.

Watch his film. More at RB than LB but it gives you an idea how good he is. Believe he's returning KO's and PR's as well..

We got a huge steal with Elliot. He committed to us when he was very much under the radar of most sites, and I know most of our boards didn't really know who he was. He has shown up big at every camp he's been to, and been repping an OSU hat every step of the way. He's going to be a big player for us.

Wiltfong was all over him and I'm a huge fan of Elliot. Wish we'd have offered him at RB instead of CB. Great get for Urbs..

Browne will have that same problem at SC. A lot of playmakers around him doing the work for him and making him look good.

What sanctions? Our 75 are better than your 85.

Think Fuller might commit on the 20th? It's a lot closer than Hokies want to believe.

Really well. He's just rarely out of position, which is a real positive for a LB in this setting.

Good to hear, thanks.. What were your thoughts on Cory Robinson and do you see him staying at WR or eventually moving to TE? Anything on Devin Butler??

  • Browne looked very good. Unfortunately for Swoopes, his coach wasn't doing him any favors. The rest of the teams (coaches) were holding up Cards in the huddle w/ the plays (WR routes), but Swoopes' coach was calling the plays route by route w/ his receivers. That makes it very tough for a QB to visualize the read progression, since those aren't his everyday plays.

He's pretty special. Hes so good that I think he will be good DESPITE Kelly's best efforts to ruin his potential at LB lol

BK isn't CW, TW, or Davie. He's proven he can develop kids that were overlooked by big time programs at other schools he's coached at. BK is doing it the right way. Recruiting top notch D first. It all comes down to QB play as it always does for any team..

Smith is a beast, although he and Foster are completely different players. They shouldn't be compared together IMO. It's like comparing a dual-threat to a pocket passer.

I agree, but they are still LB's and Foster is currently ahead of Smith in all the rankings..

  • So far it sounds like these were the top performers at each position today:

    QB: Morris
    WR: Treadwell, Mitchell
    TE: Howard
    LB: Smith
    DB: Jalen Ramsey

    (Scanning some top lists)

I'd much rather have Smith. He might be the best overall prospect in the 2013 class.

Yeah, any year with VH3, LM3, Priest, and Ramsey is loaded.

Don't forget about Alexander would have loved to see how he did in this setting..

Jaylon is a beast but these camp settings are made for him to excel. To compare him and say Reuben Foster based off these camps is a little misleading in my opinion.

This has to be considered, and he may well be the most physical corner of the cream of the crop.

At the top, a loaded cornerback class any way one slices it.

Just one opinion, but I think Priest Willis could well end up as a safety. Don't think it's a lock he plays corner long term. Doesn't mean he can't, but not a slam dunk. Terrific prospect, period, however.

One thing that I think has to be considered with Browne - he has the best command of a team out here. The setting is what it is, but from he's out here directing traffic, so-to-speak, on another level. There is no doubt every one of his guys is looking and listening to him pre-snap.

A minor thing of note, but Browne is in control.

  • Just sitting here at 7am west coast time getting ready for the final day, it's real tough for me to go with anyone other than Holland Fisher as the prospect who has impressed the most overall.

That doesn't mean he will be the highest rated prospect, as Jaylon Smith is making that type of impression and has been, but Holland Fisher's play has been fantastic and even otherworldly at times when one considers he play LB in high school. The fluidity with which he has moved around at safety, and his finishing ability/ball skills have been uber impressive. And when there is a play, he's always around it/the ball.
