Sean Payton will be the highest paid coach in the NFL

Got his contract extension finished with the Saints.. Will be making a little over 8 million a year in his 5 year extension. HUGE news, he's no doubt a top 3-5 coach in the NFL and he deserves this type of money... The last 3 seasons before his suspension, Payton has more wins in that stretch than any other coach/team in football, playoffs included.
Now, I wonder if Belichick and a few other guys in that category will ask for more than Payton when the time comes for their extensions.

Actually this. I've started hearing from people on the radio that know Saban and they don't think he's going pro. They actually said that Saban thinks it's a bad fit for him in the NFL.
I still think that Bama will give him about that much money a year to stick around until he retires.
I promise that if Saban stays at Bama after this championship game, that he will end up at that 8 million dollar a year number. I am starting to think that him and Sexton are playing it to get him more money.
Dude is worth every penny though.
