    We just had to deal with Bobby Bowden's retarded swan song and as good a CEO as Jimbo is he isn't a transformational leader. We still need to learn how to win. We just want to go into the year ranked 7th-10th.

    On paper our team is freakin sick. We need to plug a few holes on the OL but we have multiple solid options. Rest of the team is straight nasty.

    let's get some discussion going. Should be tons of butt hurt in this thread. I should get accosted by Nova, GrantparkGator will predict Florida goes 11-1 or better, and all sorts of other undoubted ridiculousness.

    FSU: Murray St Savannah State -- replacing WVU Wake Forest Clemson at USF at NCSt BC at Miami Duke Bye Thurs at VT Maryland Florida

    I got us going 12-0 and yeah I know its homer...but our tough games will come Clemson, USF(sneaky school), Miami(Rivalry), VTech, and Florida(Rivalry)

    Clemson will not beat us, they held us to 29 yds rushing last year with a terrible OLine and only beat us by 5, they won't hold us to 29 again... so I don't think they can win.

    USF we are highly favored but USF is a good team, not great but good teams can beat better teams on any given saturday.

    Miami is a rivalry game, its usually hard to place rivalries as a blow out, team is in a rebuild and we all know it but I give them the benefit of the doubt that pride will not let them lose to FSU badly... I love this rivalry and I expect them to step up so as I said tough game.

    Vtech is always a good team but I don't see them beating us. We have a bye week and they play two tough road games before we go there. Clemson then Miami.

    And I don't see a 2-10 maryland team putting up much of a fight so this gives us another "bye" before Florida game which as a rivalry I always expect to get their best game. They basically have 2 bye weeks coming before we play too so its going to be tough. Also we are fortunate that the leading rusher and the starting QB from last year will be gone. Not much to write home about considering a full season would have passed by then but its still a pretty big rivalry for a first timer to come into. And its in Doak which will be my final game as an FSU student so they better win!

    Miami:

    at BC -------- W, 30-17
    at Kans. St ---- L, 27-20
    Bethune Cookman -- W, 24-20
    at GT ------ L, 16 - 30, GT rushes for 300+
    NCSt ----- W, 27 - 20
    ND in Chicago --- L, 20 - 26
    UNC ------- L, 17 - 28, UNC has so much more balance on offense
    FSU ------- L, 30-20
    Bye
    VT --------- W, 24-20, they simply can't lose again and will give an unreal effort
    at UVA ---- L, 17-23, UVA is improving
    USF ------ W, 20-16, USF sucks on offense and Miami NEEDS this
    at Duke ---- W, 24 - 17

    6-6 but that VT game looms. A good bit turns around for Miami in 2013 as long as sanctions aren't bad. But this 2012 team is obviously their worst in years.

    I fully expect us to beat Miami in Chicago. I hope it gets Cold but since it's only early October I don't expect it. This was them when we played them in the Sun Bowl in Dec 2010. They can't stand the cold and it was 40 deg lol

    You guys have a far more balanced, established roster than Miami. It would be an egregious indictment on Kelly if you lost.

  • BC- W 27-17 I think we come out pretty hyped up and win this game pretty easy. BC makes it a little interesting late.

    Kansas State- L 31-24 Collin Klein owns us again most likely.

    Bethune- W 41-17

    GT- W 31-10 We will either kill GT this game or get killed IMO. I feel good about defensive scheme against them. Coach D proved to do very well last year coaching against it.

    NCST- L 28-21 I think we struggle to find consistency all year due to youth and drop this game.

    ND- W 17-14 I think Golden really gets this team to fight in the rivalry games this year. And I think they respond well in these games and play well.

    UNC- L 24-20 get caught coming off a big W and looking ahead to FSU.

    FSU- Coin flip. No flame. This will be our national championship game. Like I stated earlier, Golden will get this team to respond in the rivalry games. FSU will obviously be favored by quiete a bit IMO. And they should be. But for some reason I just think we will play very well in this game.

    VT- L 17-10 coming off a very emotional game against FSU.

    UVA- W 21-17 I think Golden got out coached last year in this game. So I think he coaches a good game for the win.

    USF- L 21-20 we will find a way to lose IMO. Youth will kick in.

    Duke- W 41-10 we put it all together for a nice win to finish.

    6-6 or 7-5. 2013 should be a very solid year.

    500 is about what I expect this year. There is gonna be a ton of youth on the field this fall for us.

    But I think we will win a game or 2 that we are underdogs though. We will just be very inconsistent.

    Anything above 7-5, I would be extremely impressed with Golden.

  • Miami's millstones are the 2010 and 2011 classes. They will largely turn out to be worthless. 2012 was "very good" I'd say but by no means great especially after AJL had to prep.

    Miami needs to land a VERY good class this year or they'll be like Chuck Amato's NCSt teams: mostly average players who can't get it done when it counts with a few future NFL starters lightly sprinkled in. 8-4 teams that drive their fans INSANE.

    If we don't get bent over by the NCAA, 2014 will be a elite class for us IMO.

    This years class will be GOOD to very good. We just can't take many kids.

    I fully expect the 2014 class to be Goldens signature class.
