This just in... 50% of the population thinks that the country is divided. The other 50% thinks that it isn't.
If you take a random group of people to poll, you can guess the results before the questions are even asked. You can skew the results any direction you want by getting more people from certain demographics.
Want a poll that shows the majority of Americans think everyone should get gov't handouts then you know who to ask. Want one that shows the majority thinks the 2nd amendment is untouchable, you know who to ask.

Reminds me of all the angry people holding up signs at the early Tea Party rallies screaming "GET YOUR GOVERNMENT HANDS OFF MY MEDICARE!"
People want all the benefits of a strong government and don't want to pay a cent for it.

A sequestration is absolutely dumb. Cuts are absolutely needed but this is a blind way to do it. It's like we pay congress and the president to do nothing. Sure am glad that none of this will harm their pay.

If you ask, 85% of Americans oppose any cuts to SS, Medicare, defense, or anything. 75% of Americans (in the same survey) want spending cuts.
