Exactly, and he immediately manned up, admitted his mistake, and took a beating from his followers with humility.
I really don't like the guy much, but I don't see this as being anything at all. He was ignorant, admitted he was ignorant and apologized for it. I greatly wish the majority of americans were that way.

Guess it is the part about being an advocate but having no clue about the biggest story in our country right now that bothers me. Little kids going unprotected when it appears other stuff could have been done about it really pisses me off but maybe I am overreacting on things. It just seems like calling yourself an advocate is an easy escape when your tweet gets called out for being retarded though.

Kutcher, 33, sparked a frenzy among his more than eight million followers late Wednesday after he tweeted, "How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste."
Then comes back with...
"This is an insane story, I just heard paterno was fired, getting the rest of the story now ... Wow," Kutcher said, according to NESN.com.
"Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet!" he added, according to the Los Angeles Times. "Didn't have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes."
"As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case," he tweeted. "As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won't happen again."
An advocate against child sexual exploitation hasn't heard about this story in the US of A??? GTFO with this crap. He needs a swift kick in the teeth for pretending that he cares.
