So I Get Black Ops 2, But The Damn Thing

  • Keeps freezing up, for a total of three times. I'm about to go back to MW3. To many bugs I guess. Can anyone relate?

  • It has been working fine for me other than the lag compensation. Sad that they can't have dedicated servers.

    They could have dedicated servers. They choose not to, since that would mean they would have to put back in some of those millions of dollars they make. Instead, they will continue to give the people new maps with the same game engine, same p2p networking, and same problems that come along with the p2p.

    Activision, without a doubt, is the cheapest producer there is. There is a reason the two heads of Infinity Ward left, and then sued Activision. You think EA is bad? Activision owns EA when it comes to greed. Same game engine, same graphics, same game play, same p2p networking every year since 2007.

  • I think the game is a big let down for me. Was expecting more. The maps all seem to be cartoonish.

  • Best COD game I've played.. I love this ishh, bullet registration is on POINT.

    JMO though.

    Man-O-War.. Do you have "Open Ports"? Open ports are a must to have a great online experience.. playing on Wifi sucks... Just hook an ethernet cable directly from the back of your modem to your xbox and I guarantee you wont have nearly as many problems.

    BTW, EVERY new game will have a few bugs and glitches it's first month.. Then they patch things up and you're good to go. Plus more maps will be pumped out.

  • FYI if you got the Nuketown 2025 pack I suggest playing it. This weekend is a double exp weekend, and its absolutely insane. I was in a FFA with what seemed like 16 people. Every second was either killing someone or dying. So absolutely insane.

  • I think it's the worse one yet. The graphics are worse, and the lag is just flat out terrible. Although I'll say zombies is sweet this year

  • The best part about the game is having the ability to play Nuketown 2025 as much as you want. I love it.

    The map graphics are....strange. Little worse then Black Ops, but still better than MW3.

    I'm happy with it on PS3, but I've heard Xbox has lagging problems up the ass.

  • One of my super geeky buddies has this problem. He said a lot of people are reporting it but it is only on the old style PS3's and not the slim style ones. Not sure of the reason.

  • my problem hasnt been lag, it has been hard locks that require me to shut down my ps3 and reboot (always in lobby waiting on game to start). Also the wait between games is horrible! Its an issue that requires the first person in the lobby to drop before the game will start. There will be a patch released soon to fix these items. As with any new release with this scale of users, you will have issues for the first week or 2 while the servers are stabilized and issues resolved. Otherwise its the best COD so far imo.

    As mentioned earlier in this thread, the hit recognition is amazing! I only play hard core but that was the first thing i noticed. The class manager is tight as well. The seemingly endless ways you can set up each class is what has been needed since the first release. Zombies are fun as hell too (ive only played bus level so far). Battlefield 3 has been officially shelved at my spot.

    Yup exactly what's happening. Also, it takes EFFIN forever to get the damn game going - bitch bitch bitch that's all I've been doing since I got this damn game

    lol black ops. You could run around blind in that game throw 1 or 2 grenades and unload your clip and get 4 kills. Halo it takes a little work or skill to get a kill. Thats just how i feel.

    I like Halo 10x more and played competitively.. But COD is still fun as hell.. Halo 4 will SUCK until they add more than 7 friggin' maps and MLG play lists.. So as of now, Halo 4 is garbage because there's nothing to friggin' do or play
