Not hating on true NFL fans, but I live in south Alabama where hardly anyone watches the NFL and suddenly my Facebook and Twitter are for the first time this year full of tons of apparently new NFL fans.#lame

I was addressing the OP, not Scoot. He implied that all of a sudden a bunch of people started watching the NFL on Sundays because it's the thing to do. I was just saying I know TONS of people from South AL that are huge Saints fans and are pretty likely to watch any game when it's on, especially today.

Well the state of Alabama doesn't have a pro team but that doesn't matter. Football on thanksgiving is a badass tradition, there's nothing I would rather do after I eat than thxgiving food then have a few beers, hang out with family and watch some football.. This is America, football and thanksgiving go together like Turkey and gravy. Oh and fvvck Facebook, crap got old a long time ago for me.

Pro football sucks balls. That's just a fact. I am am highly annoyed at all the normally college fans suddenly pretending like the NFL is so great just because its Thanksgiving. It's a s*** league and it isn't any better just because its Thanksgiving.

I'm not a pro fan but we watched all of the games today because our guests wanted to. It was pretty good football except for the Jets who look like they have been watching USC's defense all season and tried to copy it.
Trying to demean pro ball doesn't make Alabama any more attractive to anyone outside the state.
Looks like another perfect day.

I did and enjoyed the hell out of that game. Enjoyed the hell out of the Cowboys-Redskins as well. To be honest, I enjoyed watching that dumpster fire the Jets have become get spanked as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my day of hanging out in the house with my girlfriend and dogs, eating great food, drinking beer, watching football and taking a three hour nap in my pajamas (wore them all day to). If this is having "no life", then sign me up. I wish I could have more relaxing days like today.
