  • Going to a funeral in Chicago today for a 14 year old that was killed in a cross fire shoot out.

    It is illegal to own a "firearm" in Chicago, not a handgun, a firearm. Guess that law is working well

    The point wasn't to compare slavery and firearms sir. Sorry you missed that. Point is that one example of a law being broken doesn't mean the law isn't working. It's a stupid argument for someone to make in the first place.

    Bans don't work, especially when the ATF isn't allowed to track gun seller inventories, guns can cross state line, and private sales are unregulated.

    From what I heard on the radio the other day. According to a study A lot of the guns are legally purchased in places like Missisippi in bulk, and then sold for profit on the "black market" in Chicago.

    Everyone gets it about the Obama's being from Chicago, girl performed at inauguration, etc. What irks people is turning it into a "look at me" political agenda driven media event and making it all about Mrs Obama visiting and less about the girls tragic death. Everyone knows this has little to do about paying respect for the deceased and more about creating more media buzz about gun control. If it wasn't then it wouldn't be publicized and she could show up like a normal person and pay her respect.

    Ya seriously, this board is absurd. She is going back to Chicago - ya know, the city in the state where her husband was a Senator and they lived there their entire adult life. That Chicago?

    And to the OP - no shit that rule doesn't work, not when it's not a law everywhere else. It's not like you have to pass customs to get into Chicago. The law is in place to give police a tool to reduce gang violence by making it a crime to own a firearm, just like the RICO act was put in place to give prosecutors a charge that would stick to mobsters back in the day.

    This is the first time Michelle has been to Chicago since Christmas to see family- just keep making shit up.

    Meanwhile the economy is still shit, federal spending is up 8% since the 4th quarter, unemployment rate is at an all time high and out debt continues to grow into numerical values that a standard calculator cannot acknowledge.

    But let's focus on NFL head injuries, free for all citizenship to all illegals currently in the US and postering for gun control at the expense of tragedy.

    The only clear goal if the administration is to position the popular vote to elect Hillary as the next President with loyalty from free handouts, loyalty for uncontested citizenship, appeasing to women using sympathetic marketed gun policies, and free healthcare to the 16% of the US population that cannot afford $70 a month for a single rate basic policy with a deductible.
