This is the liberal response - everyone is a Nut who disagrees with Obama or anything liberal.

This is the first time Michelle has been to Chicago since Christmas to see family- just keep making shit up.

Meanwhile the economy is still shit, federal spending is up 8% since the 4th quarter, unemployment rate is at an all time high and out debt continues to grow into numHerical values that a standard calculator cannot acknowledge.

But let's focus on NFL head injuries, free for all citizenship to all illegals currently in the US and postering for gun control at the expense of tragedy.

The only clear goal if the administration is to position the popular vote to elect Hillary as the next President with loyalty from free handouts, loyalty for uncontested citizenship, appeasing to women using sympathetic marketed gun policies, and free healthcare to the 16% of the US population that cannot afford $70 a month for a single rate basic policy with a deductible.

Yes the first time since December that she has been to Chicago. Wow great point.

    Obviously they aren't in Chiago
    Everyday retard.

Unemployment isn't at an all time high either. Step out of the bubble dum dum.

So would you say that New York City doesn't have a culture of violence? Now that crime and the murder rate are down, it's just the culture has changed?

Well if crime is down then I guess it's not as bad as Chicago. lol. Lets also not overlook the fact that NYC spends far more on their police department than anywhere else, and is very tough on crime, especially considering it's a liberal city. There are a lot of factors at play in NYC that aren't in Chicago. Not the least of which is corruption and the competence of the city government. NYC just does a better job at policing the streets than...well pretty much everybody.

Just wanted to point out a facet of your point---that crime rates are complex and are a production of many different variables---is dead on. Whether or not it's a "culture of violence" seems suspect.

Well okay, it is far more complicated than I originally claimed, but the gun laws just aren't helping Chicago at all. If anything they are putting law abiding citizens at greater risk and just making life more difficult for them.

Which law are y'all talking about? The gun ban was suspended for court rulings and then shot down by SCOTUS.

Gun violence in Chicago needs to be analyzed better as well. My cousin lives in Chicago and says its mostly focused on the South side. Seems pretty obvious. Maybe they should take a different approach. Try improving the area and I'm sure it will go down. Stuff like that.

It's not apples to oranges, but trying to compare cities or different scales like to cities to national levels are hard to do. Minneapolis and NYC are two large metro areas who have taken a hard crack down on crime via laws and increased policing etc.

  • You know that the only way to improve the area is to remove its current occupants.

That's the only way that any area in any city is improved, it's called gentrification.

As for the gun laws read below. The article makes many of the points you have made, but I argue against them the same way I argue against those in this thread.

Just because 2011 was more violent than 2012 doesn't change the fact that crime is rampant and violence is widespread in NYC, despite extremely tough "laws" and a police force that is known for overstepping their authority.

Out of genuine interest, can you tell me which one?

It's that one that I was unaware had been turned over (but you are going to be a persistent poop and make me say it) but I personally find it to be irrelevant because while I don't personally own any guns at this time (except a .22 long rifle my dad got me for Christmas 28 years ago and I never shoot) I think that Mr. Obama (who I think is pushing toward a dictatorship and has still not proved he is legal to be President) is sending his wife to make a public appearance at funeral that she doesn't give two shats about (and face it some of you "try" to act like you care about this 14 year old girl who sang but honestly, you don't and neither do I because "be real" it doesn't effect us and we never knew her, if you say otherwise you are full of shat yourself because I have studied humans for years and they only care about others when it serves their purpose). For the record I am neither Rep or Dem but I would take 10 Bill Clinton's over this guy and 8....7 Hillary's and I truly just don't trust him (and don't throw the in the race card because I would have voted for Colin Powell (until he endorsed this ding dong)), Still would vote for Condalisa Rice.( and yes I know I misspelled her name but it is Friday, it is the last day I can get half drunk "or full", which I have now accomplished, because tomorrow I have accepted a new job with my company and effective this weekend can't do any more so I am throwing caution to the wind)

Haven't got a chance to read your link but I wanted to quickly comment.

Those places have more crime because they are large, urban metro areas, not because they are bastions of gun control gone wrong.

Minneapolis is a prime example of proper gun control that worked.

Any city to city comparison is hard though because of so many different socio-economic and demographic differences.

Really, (now understand that this is only on this subject because I consider you a quality poster on basically all other topics and enjoy reading your stuff and hope to contain this on this subject only) understand where this guy is coming from? He has not proven he is a US citizen, He refuses to pledge to our flag, he is making every basic effort to render our citizens vulnerable to government and dependent on government. He has stated that Chicago's gun laws are a model of .... oh nevermind I will just enjoy other discussions with you on other things my friend. Carry on.Just don't insult my way of thinking just because it does not line up with yours, that is the highest form of bigotry and if you truly consider yourself a peoples person then you should just respect that I am different that you but that doesn't make us enemies, just friends with differing opinions, ok?

We're not enemies. But your point that it might be illegal for him to be president is just wrong. It's not bigoted to think someone who is objectively wrong sounds dumb. It wasn't a difference of opinion.

    The requirements to be president:
    35+ check (Not disputed)
From the US - check (Hawaii, I will post his birth certificate)
Lived in the US for 14+ years - check (Nobody has ever disputed this)

Hope we can go on normally after this. Just saying he has objectively proven he fits each of the requirements to become president. If you can't accept his birth certificate, then how could you ever believe any president fit this requirement unless the birth was broadcast live with proof that it was in the place that it said on the birth certificate?
