So North Korea has thrown out the armistice?

  • Carpet bomb everything and then give it to Mongolia just so there won't be a conflict of interest between us/s.korea and china shrug

  • U.S. will never drop another nuclear weapon and NK is not going to hit U.S. They act crazy, but they aren't that dumb. U.S. would know within 10 mins if they even fired a weapon of that magnitude and take counteractive measures. We will likely get sucked into battle (if NK did anything) because they attack south korea. We have several thousand troops stationed in SK and it would be a sh!tstorm if NK attacked SK.

I tend to agree, but North Korea does stupid irrational things on the regular, trying to apply logic to his rule is a fools errand.

I still don't understand why China doesn't just deal with North Korea though. That little country is broke as hell, why not just take it over themselves? shrug

Whoops, I thought I linked a qoute asking why China supports North Korea, Hence my response...

They fought with North Korea against the United States during the Korean War.

So there is a previous relationship there.

More recently it has been balance of power politics. Supporting North Korea to keep the US spending billions of dollars on the defense of South Korea, Japan and wink wink "America"

Apparently China hasn't been able to establish any diplomatic channels with Kim Jong-Un, so North Korea may be burning the bridge with China. Which is kind of crazy.

I doubt there is any intention of going to war on North Korea's part. It is their way of legitimizing the "strength" of their new leader.
