You said winning 8.5 games out of 10 is boring and I disagree. We won our division in back to back years and y'all went 3-9. If we are so lucky with recruiting and our dline can't stop the run, then why are auburn fans so excited about acquiring Rodney Garner ( our recruiting coordinator and dline coach)? And I don't get angry at a message board, but it sounds like you do. Y'all did win a natty, but you won a natty because of a guy that didn't choose y'all first, cheated 3 seperate times, stole a girls laptop, and his father was trying to get money for his services (ie miss st). So I guess we are both okay with what our programs are doing. Good luck in your bowl game. I'm gonna be so bored at ours.

Boring is knowing that the pinnacle won't be reached. Then again, the deepest recesses of the valley won't be reached either. It quite the risk averse attitude towards football excellence. Richt won't take you to the promised land. You know it. I know it. The world knows it. Thus, your ceiling is lower than it should be, but the floor is much higher than it could be. Therefore, boring.
In regards to some of your comments about Cameron Newton:
(1) I have said this many times, and obviously it has fallen on deaf, ignorant, and/or armchair-lawyer's ears: Cam was charged with receipt of stolen property and tampering with evidence....not theft of property. Cam didn't steal anything. He bought a stolen laptop from the guy who actually stole it. I know that's a really nuanced distinction, but I have faith you will grasp it. But of course that does not fit into your narrative of "Cam's a thug, he does nothing good for anyone, he's selfish, he's the bad guy, etc.", thus it is an undeniable fact that is, ironically, denied for the sake of propping up your ignorance.
(2) We won a natty because we had a veteran offensive line, veteran d-line, veteran LB's, veteran secondary, veteran WR's, great special teams, fantastic RB play, all added to the once in a lifetime player of Cam and the dominance of Nick. If you truly, in the heart of your being, believe that Cam Newton was the only reason we won the natty, then you know literally nothing about football. Cam almost lost us the national title game with his untimely fumble, leading to Oregon tying the game. Likewise, Cam had literally nothing to do with the game-winning drive in that game. This in particular, and the point as a whole, is also an undeniable fact that is, ironically, also denied because it does not fit within the narrative that your masses have disseminated amongst one another.
(3) Cam's father sought money from MSU. There is nor was any evidence that Cam knew his father was shopping him to MSU. Likewise, there was literally no evidence whatsoever that AU knew about the MSU dealings or that AU did anything untoward in the recruitment of Cam. Those are the facts. They are indisputable. In fact, they were so indisputable that the NCAA, in an unprecedented move, released a letter to the public and media stating that very thing. Not only did AU not commit any major infractions, the NCAA's year-plus long investigation did not even turn up a secondary violation. And not only did the NCAA absolve AU of all wrongdoing with Cam, they quickly disposed of the HBO-4 nonsense with similar words of innocence. So the NCAA's investigation taught us that literally nothing of the agenda being espoused by the media was true. Literally none of it. But that didn't fit into your "AU is a bunch of cheaters...always have been, always will be" narrative, so you disregarded it as spurious.
What do Ohio State, Oregon, LSU, Georgia Tech, Miami, Alabama, UCF, UNC, Tennessee, Boise State, West Virginia, and South Carolina have in common? They were all investigated and found to have violated some sort of NCAA rules during the time AU was investigated and subsequently found to have nothing wrong. It is safe to say that when the NCAA sets it sights on a school, they will find something wrong if there is something to find. But again, this undeniable fact will most likely not fit into your general narrative of Auburn football.
(4) Cam made many mistakes in his early football career. His academic cheating was a bad move on his part. The laptop incident happened. His decision-making off the field was terrible. There is no getting around that. But he set to improve himself and did. He went to Blinn and won the NJCAA natty. He went to AU and won the natty and the Heisman. His story of redemption and resolve to climb out to realize his potential on the field should be celebrated, not maligned. But it isn't, because you have convinced yourself that all the lies that have been told to you are true.
One last thing: If Cam would have played for you (UGA) or any other team, had the success he had at AU, brought the natty to your school, brought another heisman, etc., you would defend him to your last dying breath. Instead you excoriate his very existence every opportunity you get. It's sad really. I hope you learn the actual facts as to what really happened with the Cam Newton investigation and saga, and modify your inevitable future posts about the guy accordingly to reflect that.
