Honestly, what could he possibly be doing that'd force his resignation? Molesting little boys isn't even out of the ordinary for Catholic priests anymore, his past in the Hitler Youth already came out, and I find it hard to believe that any scandal involving this pope couldn't be covered up/kept quiet until he dies.
Yeah I dont know
Maybe he just wants to live out the rest of his life without the daily duties of being the Pope.

It'll be interesting to see what direction the College of Cardinals takes with the next pope. Do they go slightly more tolerant to reflect a changing world, or do they double-down and select an even more hardline orthodox pope than Benedict XVI?
