So who else thinks Utah will upset USC?

  • Just sets up perfectly like all the other USCw upsets of the 2006-2008 era.

  • They beat me on my online dynasty, because their defense was incredible and they shut down Barkley. They were the only team who achieved that against me though, because I destroyed every other team.

  • Mid-week game on the road against a very good team.... I wouldn't be shocked to see Utah come up big. It's not like SC has a month to prepare for Utah so it will be really tough no doubt.

I HATE those Thursday night games
We always seem to struggle with them for some reason
Our team literally sleep walked through the last Thursday night game in Corvallis
This one should be pretty basic
If our interior O line Martin Holmes Martinez can keep that monster DT of Utah in check, we should win convincingly
If he can disrupt and pressure Barkley and plug up the middle, we could be in trouble
    Dude is another Haloti Ngata

Yep I hate'm too. I have a feeling this group of kids and coaches will not allow a sleep walk game on the road this year though, just my honest opinion.

Make no mistake though, that place is going to be rock'n. I remember reading some where(maybe Pac12 media day) that the Utah head coach has already labeled this upcoming game as the biggest in Utah to date. Of course.

That'll be hard for WSU to pull off, especially since we don't play this year.

your facts? they mean nothing to me.

    The Pirate will PREVAIL!

WSU will end up riding down on USC in practice and vanquishing them post-haste!

this, and i don't even watch college football

Didn't Utah nearly beat SC last year? If so, I don't see SC slipping up here.

It was a close game, but that was more due to us not playing very well than anything Utah did. USC was simply not a very good team early in the season. We were by far and without a doubt the most improved team over the course of last season.

  • I don't. I think USC wins the game although it won't be easy. But my thought are that everytime you get a lot of people predicting an upset like this, it rarely happens. Call it Karma, or whatever you want. But being a gambler for 22 years, tells me that I will wait for the line to be driven down by the masses & I will jump on USC.

Pshhh...I want to play USCw in the BCSNG just to bring you guys back down to earth. I just "hope" you can get there and not check like history past.

Utah is ridunkulous in NCAA FB 13. Outside of Utah, Oregon, and USC, the rest of the PAC-12 are essentially MAC teams in my dynasty...

Than to lose to a good team on the road in a Thursday night game?

I can think of worse fates.

Four game stretch with Stanford, Utah, and UDub on the road worries me most in the regular season. Other game is Cal at home.

  • NCAA 13 has made upsets more common ( a weekly occurrence) now with the ESPN in-game update. In one dynasty, Arkansas State beat Oregon, Washington beat LSU, Syracuse beat USC, Notre Dame beat Oklahoma, Baylor beat WVU, Missouri and Kentucky beat Georgia AND USCe, Illinois beat Wisconsin, Ohio State beat Michifan and Nebraska won the B1G, Texas the Big 12 etc.

That would be a season of 2007 epic proportion.

  • Utah is a very underrated team that if USC let's stay close going into the 4th quarter could have a shot at an upset. Funny how Utah is on the board as a possible upset game for USC, you would think that Utah would be ranked since some out there think there pretty good. Just more east coast biased rankings

I think ithas a good possibility of happening.

USC barely beat a horrible Minny team in the first game last year.

USC only beat one ranked team last year, Oregon, and the score was in the 40s or so for both teams. USC's defense is just too weak to be considered a top team.

Lane Kiffin has never shown himself to be a great, or even very good, coach.

Ranking USC #1 does not help the players or coaches prepare better for the season. (It probably hurts a bit.)

I am not going to be shocked to see SC fall to Utah (or whomever later in the year). They are, by far, the most over-rated team in the top 25, IMO.

  • This thread is a perfect example of how USC is held to a higher a standard than the rest of college football. All of you folks are trying to find the pimple on the Prom Queen's ass...hoping to find one.

My only concern is that SC does not lose a starting Olineman during the game, thus allowing Utah to embarrass USC because of 1 player getting hurt. Pretty sure that has never happened to any other high profile team...pretty sure?

I have always pointed to that 4 game stretch as a tough one for USC.
