You also got snubbed for two teams from two different conferences, not just the SEC. It could have been LSU and UF versus USCw respectively for 2003 and 2008.

Doesn't matter...the higher standard still exists. Fans from both conferences trumpeted the same tired excuse...USC should have not lost a game.

I stated a fact. You haven't had an unblemished season since 1972. Has nothing to do with saying any team has never been on probation or had any sanctions.

I thought I was trying to get everyone off USC's back for losing a game every year by showing they never really go undefeated. It's not a new trend. It just seems like it to some.

The OP started a thread that didn't have to be taken the way it was by the normal folks that usually end up in tears.

It was going fine with respectable posters from USC, like Zabba, who I have agreed with saying the 4 games in a row of @Stanford, Cal, @Utah, and @UW could be tough to get through. Beating Oregon twice will be difficult, but that run of games won't be easy either.

The we get people in here about how everyone is ganging up on USC again. When you are one of the top 5 teams in the nation, people are going to discuss your season on a football message board. It shouldn't be hard to handle.

Then, people point out the trend of USC not being able to go undefeated, which is true, but again, more . Then it becomes a big flame war.

I'm new here, and would say that you have failed to prove any legitimate arguement that supports the mighty Trojans being so over-hyped. They haven't earned the respect to be ranked #1, but they'll have yet another golden opportunity this year to run through the P12 and challenge the best of the best from the SEC. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes...

Well, I also think that all the teams in the top 5 should be able to withstand the same questions and critique.

There is not another team in this great country that can be put on a 2-year bowl ban, have recruiting restrictions, and still be voted #1 once they are bowl eligible. Not to mention having the #1 recruiting class.

From where I'm sitting you're crying to.You're trying to pass the crying label off on USC fans but you're doing just as much "crying" as they are.

No doubt, but the thread was going fine at first. Everyone is not attacking USC just because. There have been a lot of USC threads the last week or so because the same USC people are getting so defensive in them and are really falling right into people's hands. There are plenty of people that want to get a reaction. Your own guy MJRuffalo or whatever his name is does the same thing. He sparks a thread that is stretching things a little bit and sometimes they just end up being troll threads, but sometimes, there is actually good discussion in them.

Your good buddy Devidee is the same way. Half of his threads end up going down bad, but sometimes they spark decent converstation.

I thought this could have been great thread to not only talk about how the PAC12 is becomming a better conference top to bottom, with teams like Utah and Washington improving things, but to also show that it is not just about USC and Oregon, although it probably will come dows to those two teams. If you looked at USC's schedule 2 or 3 years ago and if they would have had this team then, you would have said, it's a one game schedule with Oregon, but there really is a tough section there with the 4 games of Stanford, Cal, Washington, in Utah (think I screwed up the order) that will not be easy, because the 2 that I mentioned earlier are improved and Stanford and Cal both have the players to be dangerous, although they shouldn't win the games.

I will not be addressing UT fans.You have enough problems already.

What have I cried about in this thread. Just look at your post about not addressing UT fans a second ago and you will see part of the issue. The dude came in here with nothing and you take the same approach. Thank goodness that we have Action Figure, Under Review, and usctrojan1 as a good representation of USC.
