Soccer guys: Best players going into Brazil 2014......

  • Xavi?
    Sturridge #4???

  • 2 years from now. Xavi is one of my favorite players but two years from now he may not be in that group.

In terms of your response to Sturridge I guess you didn't realize this is a 2 years from now projection. That guy will be world freakin class in 2 years.

I understand we're talking two years from now, but Xavi is beast.

It'll be interesting to see if Hernandez can get anything going with mexico

  • Sturridge could easily be behind Aguero and Balotelli. Chelsea is going to make Sturridge their primary target man over the next 15 months as they sell Torres and Drogba. He'll really come on hard then.

Xavi's game lends itself to stand the test of time as well. So I am probably wrong for leaving him out. I am going to add him and Savid Silva. Spain is sick in the MF, FB and G. They really need forwards to develop though. Torres and Villa will be nearly worthless on that level in 2014.

He may be back in Italy by then but he is slowly turning the corner and he's never been a Tevez. Balotelli is just insanely immature, he's not a lockerroom cancer just a distraction.

Bottom line is that if he gradually improves over the next 2 years he will be a world player of the year candidate with 5-6 WC goals. JMO. When CR7 starts to fade he will be the guy who joins Messi as the new best two in the world. JMO

I love watching him play. He has moments of amazing brilliance while looking like he doesn't even give a shit.

  • Nani has to be on your midfield list, he is one of the best wingers in the world and still very young. I'll make my list later tonight so we can compare. I have a few very different opinions than you.

  • How is Micah Richards so high? He isn't even the first choice at right back in his own country? Where the hell is Cavani? Gomez?

Copy paste my list and make your changes. That's what I was hoping for. I made a great list and people stopping in to point out the two things they think is stupid about it isn't any fame.

Who is the current right back? Glen Johnson? His list is a projection of 2014, who knows how he holds up until then.

Even if he doesn't, the second choice for this summer was the right back from Tottenham I forgot his name. I think Richards is great, but it's hard to take someones spot in international football regardless of age.

Kyle Walker. The only reason I know is that he scored a goal for me in FIFA12 the other day.

  • Good list. No way a 38 year old Buffon still starts for Italy.....surely not. I think Wilshere is low and Hulk will soon make a huge move and be one of the true stars of Euro soccer over the next 4-5 years. Great game, personality, and marketability.
