Some people asking about Jesus lately....

Have you read his posts on page 4?

Page 4 is actually where that became clear to me.

Thanks for chiming in. Said a quick prayer for you that the Lord would draw you to him, and he would come into your life and bring you the peace you are seeking.

It's cool. Lots of sane people have imaginary friends.

    (no they don't)

Don't get an attitude or I'll put you on the prayer list and have the whole church praying for you.

On page four he claims Christ is unnecessary.

I changed my previous post because if you read what he wrote on page 4 and tell him he's a Christian you are a false teacher yourself. What you just said is post modernistic thought and is not scriptural.

Apart from salvific grave we are depraved and hostile in mind towards God. The "be nice and work him up to the whole believe or perish and he'll be more likely to agree" angle is demonic and Joel Osteen at it's finest. You have not read the scriptures.

RATT declared his beliefs on page 4 and they stand in opposition of Christ. Period.

What you just posted is the very false gospel I aimed to address in this thread. Make it desirable, meet them where they are and they'll slowly climb on board. It flies in the face of scripture.

FSU, you come across as having a bit of a God complex if you can read a few words from someone and see into his heart.

Your saying that good character and good works will not benefit you when that day comes? I must have completely missed the point that all religions share outisde of Satanity, The weird Morman sect or Voodoo death cults

You're either in Christ or apart from Christ. Read Galations.

If you bare fruit for the Kingdom its honoring to God. if you are outside Christ your goodworks, in terms of earning salvation, are used menstrual rags.

Yes, religion can not save. Only Christ.

You realize that the vast majority of people on this planet don't believe in your Christ?

    Hell's gonna be hella crowded.

You keep saying all we need to do is be good to people. Therefore Christ is unnecessary. Right? Or do you believe a faithful life in Christ and abiding in Love is the only way to the Father as Christ taught?

I praise God you heard what you are hearing.

His posts are the very postmodernistic replacement of gospel Truth this thread came to address and you're labeling it salvific belief.

God is real Devidee. I stood in opposition of him with even more fervor than you do. You have sinned and need Christ. You should read Romans and call out to God.

No. You simply made poor choices.

It's easier to pretend an imaginary friend controls your life than owning your own decisions. Well, for some anyway.

  • Matthew 7:1-5 (1) “Judge not, that you be not judged. (2) For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. (3) And why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

  • VTSmitty. The scriptures tell us exactly how to share the Gospel. In Acts 17 Paul gets a chance to speak in front of the Aeropagus. Where all the "brilliant thinkers" gathered in that day. Paul didn't meet them where they were or honor their life experiences and up bringing.

He said, "To the unknown god.’ pWhat therefore you worship qas unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 rThe God who made the world and everything in it, being sLord of heaven and earth, tdoes not live in temples made by man,3 25 nor is he served by human hands, uas though he needed anything, since he himself vgives to all mankind wlife and breath and everything. 26 And xhe made from one man every nation of mankind to live yon all the face of the earth, zhaving determined allotted periods and athe boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 bthat they should seek God, cand perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. dYet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for

e“‘In him we live and move and have our being’;4

as even some of fyour own poets have said,

“‘For we are indeed his offspring.’5

29 Being then God's offspring, hwe ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but know he lcommands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed ma day on which nhe will judge the world oin righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and pof this he has given assurance to all qby raising him from the dead.”

32 Now when they heard of rthe resurrection of the dead, ssome mocked. But others said, t“We will hear you again about this.” 33 So Paul went out from their midst. 34 But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius uthe Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them."

    Like I said LOSNOLEs.

Mich&RedWingFan you and I have already discussed the gospel. We both agree you stand in opposition to Christ. Whether you want man to judge you or not the Bible clearly states God will judge you upon your death. Do not wield scripture because in it it professes that you are, as of now, a vessel of wrath for God. Pray that God would save you. He may well do so.
