The Blue Board

I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I'm open for all suggestions at this point. I would certainly like to help the families first and foremost, but I'm not sure that our money helps the overall picture. I'm still shellshocked by this whole thing. I just want to help however I can. As long as the board figures out a charity or a family fund that they want to agree on, I'm fine with it.

I hear you man. There's absolutely no doubt that I am going to do everything I can to help. I know money won't help but at least it's something. This is one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life and I can't fathom what these parents are going through. I'm glad you guys are willing to help also, there's no way I'm going to sit back and watch these people suffer without trying to help in some way. It really hurts man and I'm surely dedicated to help these people to the best of my ability.. No fvcking 5 year old deserves this

Then we know the money is going straight to the source. The only thing is that we would have to verify they could accept the money? Any lawyers on board?

I put the link to this thread on my homesite.. We need to get all the homesites involved and once we figure out the direction we are going with this, the more people, the better... So lets put word out and REALLY do something for these families to the best of our abilities.

I will post it on the Nebraska board. I know we would have some guys that would be in on this.

Anything we can do fellas.. Give money for therapy, send letters, set up a memorial.. Just brainstorming here so lets take our time and do this RIGHT bc I'm dead serious and set on helping.

My Mother just told me they've sent out the pet therapy dogs to help.. She also said the kids (the ones that witnessed everything) will need a LOT of therapy, as will the families.. And therapy is expensive, they'll need all the help they can get.

Sounds good to me. As long as we stay on top of this, nothing bad can come out of it for sure. It might just be a small bit of help, but it's help all the same.

Les, when y'all do figure something out be sure to edit your op and put the link/whatever it may be in that post. That way everyone who does want to contribute will have easy access to finding it.

Need to do this TMB style. A trusted member of the board collect the donations. Set a deadline. Once that deadline comes, the keeper of the money contacts someone first hand to send the donations to. That way you avoid the third party collections. You guys ever see the toy drives every Christmas that they do for St. Jude? People buy and send toys to one trusted poster. That posted then delivers all toys directly to St. Jude. Now I'm not sure if we have anyone on this board in the Connecticut area, so ours won't be that simple.
