  • It would be the least twisted explanation. I couldn't care less, but he is a Mormon Hawaiian linebacker at a Catholic school. That aren't the most tolerant circumstances.

    Do you live in Asheville North Carolina?

    If so, I would figure you could spot a homo from about 100 miles away. That is if you aren't gay yourself in that city. You sure have seemed to be almost hoping that he is.

    Not in Asheville anymore. I'm in New Orleans, and its way gayer here. Makes George Michaels blush level of gayness. So gay I can't recognize closeted homegrown Midwestern sweet boys.

    And personally, even if I were gay, I wouldn't want Manti. He's so stretched out from being violated by Bama, I doubt I'd touch the sides.

    I'll admit that I have only been to Asheville, NC a couple of times on business when I worked for an engineering firm up in North Carolina, but holy moly. That had to be the gayest city per capita that I had ever been to. It didn't bother in the least, just seemed odd for someone that live there to be continuously bringing out the thinking the kid was gay.

    Asheville was a beautiful city with some awesome food joints, but it was a haven for gay people for sure. I know that New Orleans has it's share, but per capita, it's not even close.

    But I started this to ask a legitimate question, not troll. This really is the most bizarre story I've ever heard in college football. So I'm curious about the general consensus.

    Well then I guess to answer your question,

    I doubt the kid is gay. I have no explanation for what he did, but I would think his teammates would have figured it out if he was after four years. I could be wrong, and wouldn't dislike the kid if he was gay. I would respect him coming out and saying that much more than I would what he did. Actually I should say, what I think he did.

    I'll wait until all is found out. Everything is going to come to light in the next few weeks.

  • I spent this past summer working in the mountains near Asheville and it was by far the gayest city I have ever been in. It is a beautiful area but way too gays/liberals for me to stay for long.

    I have a real good friend that is gay. I have no problem with a person that is gay as long as they treat me with respect. Dude is cool as hell and whatever he does behind closed doors, is his business. He's actually hooked up some of my other friends with woman.

  • Alright, so he and Notre Dame found out December 6th. Heisman Ceremony was December 8th where he publicly talked about the death of his girlfriend. He mentioned the death of his girlfriend on 4 different occasions AFTER December 6th.

    Anymore evidence that the guy was in on this for publicity needed?

    ESPN just said December 6th... multiple times. I was confused, as I thought it was the 26th as well, but they made it a point to say the 6th, and then he mentioned her at the Heisman Ceremony on the 8th.

    I feel that this is one of those situations that I have argued with people that you have to separate from the university or program that you root for.

    I have no worse of an opinion of Notre Dame over this then I did before I knew what happened. It's not the universities fault. They weren't paying the kid to come to their school, they weren't giving him any benefits over this for sure. I mean this goes on the kid completely.

    I won't argue with a Notre Dame fan over this unless he wants to argue about the issue itself. If you want to back up, or I guess anyone else that wants to back him up, then I'm going to argue with you about the situation. I think Notre Dame fans need to realize this. We aren't coming after your program. We want to know what the kid did and fill in the holes. It seems to me like a bunch of Notre Dame fans think that most of us are taking it personal against their football program.

    Maybe some are, but for me personally, I don't blame the institution for one iota of this other than letting him continue the BS after they knew what was going on. This still shouldn't be a black eye on their school. This is something that Te'o is going to have to deal with on his own. God bless ND for trying to help him as much as they can, but this was his own doing and had nothing to do with the school.

    Teo said he received a phone call from the same number as the fake girl's number on Dec. 6th. He said it was the same voice. He then interviewed and lied about her death on the 8th multiple times. It was only until the 26th that he supposedly first told the ND administration.

    The guy is a complete fraud and asshole for stringing the country along this bs story.
