That looks kinda like and owl and angel mixed together.

We didn't hear anything about an altercation other than from what someone said on TBS or FGF, I can't remember which one.

Also, I have some really solid sources that say Clowney is sporting a new car. Do y'all know if USC bought it from the same place we got Blanks' car?

You sure he didn't earn the money for his car working for Cary Rich?

All Rock Hill recruits work for Carey. Just like Spiller had a house on Keowee.

  • Report from one insider site said that it was extremely minor..still trying to get an incident report. Alcohol couldnt have been involved or he would have been cited for public drunkeness

All of which are fvcking stupid. Cops are assholes. He wasnt drunk or they would have hit him with public intoxication..these BS charges will more than likely be dropped.

At 1:31 a.m. Tuesday, two Greenville police officers in an unmarked patrol car "observed Mangus facing Main St. urinating on the street curb and roadway," according to a report from the Greenville police department. When an officer who was called to the scene by those two officers approached Mangus, the coach was "unsteady on his feet and he had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person," the report stated.

Edit: I have peed in public numerous times when I was drunk, so I can't really cast stones. But, It would really suck if he had to register for the sex offender list.

Have read that also. Very well could be true, but I see no way he doesn't get cited for public drunkeness and indecent exposure if they actually witnessed that.

Some may be.......but, regardless of what he was doing or not doing he should not be a smart mouth to a police officer. He would not tolerate that from his players ....right or wrong. He should have been respectful, especially to the person who has the authority to arrest him. It is best some times to just shut up and take it and "live to fight another day" so to speak.

According to the police report info, he was urinating in the street and he was mouthy, and smelled of alcoholic beverage.

Public Nuisance is a charge much like disorderly conduct and it includes being intoxicated in public. Some jurisdiction do not use "public intoxication" specifically as a Charge. You assume alot for someone who was not there. I would guess you have had a bad experience with the Police before.

Im from Greenville..I know how police are in the upstate. Most are power hungry tools who get off on authority. I am not condoning his actions one bit. But everyone talks about a report yet most people state a report isnt even out yet. IF he was urinating in the streets he would deserve everything that came to him. But you would think that would get him an indecent exposure charge, not public nuisance.

If he was arrested, the report is public records and it is available to the media immediately after it was logged in, which was the end of the shift at the latest. ( I am a former police officer)
Public Nuisance is local ordinance charge and requires a lot less paper work, usually just an arrest report. Have you considered that perhaps the "cops" actually cut him a break and charged him with the least possible charge (a small fine is usually the penalty) instead of a state misdemeanor that would require a trial in state court.

Most city cops are power hungry, not just the ones on Greenville. But, I'm like you, if he was taking a piss on main street he kinda deserves to get caught.

I can't wait until someone tells me that the arresting cop was a tater or that somehow the Clemson bias in the state of South Carolina has something to do with this.

There is no conspiracy. Greenville is a clemson town, but most average Clemson fans wouldnt know who the hell GA Mangus is. The charges dont match the crime though..why would he cut GA a break if he mouthed off. Plus GA had to be hammered to mouth off after getting caught pissing in the street. He's always seemed like he had a good sense of mind.

Not sure how many different ways I can answer the same question. You apparently have made up your mind that he was framed. I will leave it at my last answer and let you sort it out as the details continue to surface. A huge indicator will be if he posted a cash bond ( pay the fine to go home) or plead guilty/no lo contend re.

Yea there is a police report. Incident is true..he didnt mouth off, just wouldnt cooperate. What an idiot. He might keep his job since the charges were just public nuisance, who knows.

He more than likely would have been "advised" by a supervisor to give him the lesser charge.........if that indeed is what happened.

  • Sounds like he just wouldn't talk to them, so he got booked. I still don't know why they'd only charge him with nuisance if he was uncooperative, regardless of any former police officer's opinion.

Cops "smell" alchohol on babies if it suits them. That's not an indictment of the arresting officers, nor is it supporting Mangus' actions, whatever they may actually be.

  • While i am unhappy with the situation Mangus will keep his job. This is better than it happening to a player..even though it is embarassing for the program
