Not saying we deserved to be ahead of FSU but u can't base it on last yrs game. Lattimore was out before the first series was over.

Florida st beat us I will never say we would've beat them if Lattimore doesn't get hurt. But u can't compare next yrs teams on one game. In that case we should be ranked ahead of bama.

I wouldn't put a lot of stock into that game but you can't completely disregard it either.

Just making a point. Arguably, their best player was out of the game, and so was yours.
If Ellington hadn't been injured the last half of the season, maybe we would have only mildly sucked, but we will never know.

I'm surprised we are ahead of FSU too, but you can't base your rankings off of a game from Last year, especially a bowl game in which both teams were missing important players.
We destroyed Bama, we are behind them
Arkansas destroyed us, they are behind us
Auburn beat Oregon, Oregon is 16 spots ahead of Auburn
etc, etc, etc.
I think the point is, is that although FSU is very talented, EJ is still a question mark at QB. If he can perform well, then I think FSU has a chance at going undefeated.
Garcia lacks consistency, but he has made 28 consecutive starts, and can sometimes light the world on fire.
Lattimore and Alshon are probably the best WR/RB duo in the country.
Our defense has talent oozing out of it. As does FSUs.
1 spot is not that big of a deal, especially in a preseason poll by one guy.
