My favorite sports movie growing up was Vision Quest because I a was wrestler. Plus, the kid gets to bang a hot, drifter chick and what teenage boy (and married middle-aged man) doesn't fantasize about that.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least, it's usually the way it goes. In fact, I can't think of any instance where the opposite is true.
Don't think I've seen The Express mentioned, it's not excellent but it isn't complete garbage either.
