  • Big Ten fans, what are the storylines for your respective team as your squad takes the field for these 15 practices?

  • Need to find a QB!!

Who steps up on our front 7 on D to make plays. We only return 1 DT (starter), 1 DE and 1 LB (starter) with significant playing time from last year.

You think it's Ferguson or Hackenberg or do you think Bench has a chance?

I love that young developing d-line. Lots of NFL talent and others that will at the very least be productive college players.

I kind of expect Bench. Mostly since I don't know what to expect from Fergie. It wont be Hack IMO because he's only coming into the competition in the Summer.

I would go Bench, Ferguson, Hack in that order if I were handicapping it.

This. And if it isn't Bench, I would put my money on Fergs. I just don't see Hack coming in here so late and grabbing the job. BOB puts a premium on commanding the playbook, more so than ability.

  • Hack will almost certainly RS.

Who will be the 2nd DT alongside Jones?

Who will step up at the 2nd OLB spot? Mike Hull and Glenn Carson will start.

    Who will be the RT?

How involved will Akeel Lynch be on offense? Heard very good things last offseason, he's used his RS and should be ready to do well.

How will the defense perform with a new DC (John Butler)?

Plenty to talk about, but those are probably the main points.

  • Who will be the RB?

Who will be the good outside WR?

    Who will be the passrusher?

Will Devin Gardner progress enough to be a reliable QB?

Who will be the interior OL, and will they actually be able to block people?

Pretty solid list. I would also really like to see our TEs develop other skills (Funchess learn to block a little, Williams learn to run and catch, Butt be able to be our 3rd TE).

My biggest hope out of your list is we figure out 2 of the 3 interior oline starters (hopefully Kalis at LG and Miller at C) by the end of spring practice and let the guys battle out for starting RG over the summer.

I think WR and RB will work themselves out if we can get our line set.

Hopefully Toussaint will be okay in the long run. Obviously I like the two freshmen RBs coming in for next fall.

The WRs may not have been touted but I like the guys they've recruited. Someone will step up, Darboh, Chesson, York, Dukes, Jones etc...

Pass rushers, hopefully Wormley can come back healthy. Taco Charlton has all the tools.

Devin played well when given the opportunity as a first-year starter at QB. We'll see how he grows and how defenses react with more tape on him next year.

I could be. They get PSU at home, Purdue in West Laffayette may be a problem. & UM at the Big House at the end of the year, are their toughest games & all are winnable imo.

Unless you have some super fast OL to play WR... or can make plays. I think he's right.

Because we have more OL on our roster than OSU does?

This must stem from the inferiority that our OL is lightyears ahead of yours.

smh... no it comes from the painfully obvious.

    You have no playmakers.

Just like if we have injuries at OL we will be hurting....

And you have no defense. You lost Hankins and Simon, and everybody knows how god awful your LB and DB corps was last year.

We have no proven playmakers. That doesn't mean somebody won't step up.

You guys overuse the hyperbole of no playmakers.

Jehu Chesson, Amara Darboh, Devin Funchess, Fitz Toussaint, Derrick Green, Dennis Norfleet... Devin Gardner.

All of those guys have big playmaker potential. Only Fitz, Gardner and Funchess have shown their capacity to do so thus far (and Norfleet to a much lesser extent). Will we have AS MANY playmakers as you guys? No probably not, seeing how that's what the spread offense is tailored to. But you guys are painfully ignorant if you think we have nobody outside our OL on offense. And quite frankly, in for a rude awakening.

If you guys are praising Jalin Marshall as the next Ted Ginn Jr. we have every right to praise the potential of our playmakers as well.
