Spring Games on TV

  • What are the dates/times and hopefully stations they will be played on? Ours is April 20, 2013 at 2pm on ESPN2. I'm pretty sure AU is on the same day on ESPNU or CSS or something. Anyone else know their info yet? There are more than a few teams I'd like to see a little of.

Yours is one I was looking for. DO you know what day it's on? Hopefully a week earlier or later so I can see it live. Nevermind, unless they have changed it, it's on the 6th. That is perfect. Good deal

"The 2013 A-Day Game, Alabama's annual spring scrimmage, has been set for Saturday, Apr. 20 at 2 p.m. The battle of top recruits and All-American candidates will be televised on ESPN2. It is likely to feature many shots of Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban's emotional range, from displeased to utterly disgusted.

The coverage on ESPN2 is a step up from last year, when the game was shown by CSS, a regional sports network. Either Alabama's recent run of national championships has brought the program to an even higher level of popularity, or the American people have grown increasingly interested in football practices. While the latter is possible, the tortuous length of the college football offseason makes the latter even more likely.

The game hasn't completely filled Bryant-Denny Stadium, but it did reach an attendance of 78,526 in 2012. That was actually down from the previous three years, where the crowds were able to top 90,000. The largest crowd ever at the A-Day Game has been 92,310"

  • I know if I am a Bama fan I'd rather just have McCarron signing autographs so I can see the new QB and who else. Now you offered Harris? Yikes. Losing Winston may be what derails Bama. juggle

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

If AJ goes down this year we are in trouble. We will win at least 10 games, but no NC. I have been saying tis for a few years. Missing out on a great QB in 2012 hurt. Alec Morris has actually looked pretty good so far, though. He will battle Sims and Bateman in the Spring for the number two spot.

There were some non-glowing reports on Bateman at the All Star week. Just saying and you're mostly relying on him to start year two. Just saying.
