Just had a few questions/thoughts on USCs recruiting class...

Do you think USC made the right choices in...

Recruiting Chris Hawkins over Johnny Johnson, Priest Willis, & Jermaine Kelley

    Steve Mitchell/Larue over Eldridge Massington

    Recruiting Mcquay over Tahaan Goodman.

Basically im asking if YOU were picking, would you pick Mcquay or Goodman? Hawkins or one of the other CBs? 1 you have dropped Massington in favor of one of Larue/Mitchell?? Thanks

  • Also who are some studs from Cali who you see SC offering in 2014? I know Adoree & Chryst & Latua, but others. AZ seems stacked also.

-Yes on Hawkins. I think he's more of a pure corner and sure thing. The others may have more upside or may be currently better in some aspects, but you take Hawkins and let the chips fall where they may with the others.

-Yes on Mitchell and Larue, particularly given Massington's injury. Neither has the size Massington does nor the long-term upside, but Mitchell is one of the faster wide receiver prospects nationally and Larue is a big-time playmaker. Plus, both are in-state.

-I think McQuay and Goodman are the same virtually. I think McQuay is a little better prospect, but you can't go wrong with either. I would always defer in-state, though.

Scott Schrader would know more about specifically when and how USC will offer some of these guys, but I'd keep an eye on...

    DL Nifae Lealao

    CB Adoree Jackson

    DE Malik Dorton

    All in the 2014 class.
