    Notre Dame should've killed UM. ND has a ton more talent. I was mad the Irish didn't win by 3 TDs.

    As you should be. It's embarrassing that Michigan handed the ball over that many times and was still a single score away from overtime. That's why I'm not buying that this ND team is NC-caliber.

  • This is excellent and proof the players were influenced by the side ref that the play was dead.

    Not to mention smart to stop hitting as Tuitt was flagged for a BS late hit earlier in the game.

    This is great analysis showing how Notre Dame celebrated way to early. What were they thinking, Taylor wasn't even close to down yet.

  • Ok. The refs said forward progress was stopped. And to make things clearer, runner's elbow hit the ground before ball was able to cross the goalline. Why are all you people making this so difficult to understand? loco

    Because the refs blew the call and the video evidence seems to indicate that the ball had broken the plane. Considering the only fanbase not saying this is a BS call is ND, I think that says a little something about the quality of the call.

    How long does a person get to keep running in place before it's ok to call forward progress? And regardless, his elbow hit before the ball ever crossed the goalline. nono Turnover on downs. Game over.

    Who is to say he would have still crossed the goal line had the ref not blown the whistle? The ND players i.e. Te'o would most likely still be in the play pushing him back rather than celebrating. Ref blew the whistle, ND players celebrated, and then Taylor put the ball across the goal line...too late and possibly after his elbow touched.

    This really can't be said enough. They would be losing their minds if it happened the other way around. Personally I could care less, but IMO, it was a bad call.

    1st and 5 on the goal line and all of you are mad because you think Taylor, after getting stuffed 3X should have been awarded a charity TD for crawling over a pile after the refs determined the progress was stopped (actually pushed backwards) and the Defensive players started celebrating as they stopped playing based off the refs signal.

  • My brother made me watch this crap like 10 times. Looked like despite being on top of other players, his elbow touches the ground before the ball crosses the plane...i.e. he was down.
