I honestly think that you have a LOT to stand on. I'm not upset with the sanctions that happened to PSU and feel like they deserve everything that came their way.

I WILL say that I believe the NCAA was fvcking stupid in the way that they handled the situation and overstepped their bounds though. I don't see PSU losing this case. Also another question for you guys. Are you trying to get all the sanctions dropped or is the real goal keeping the 60 million?

I mean we all know that this case will still be ongoing two to three years from now so the scholly limitations are going to do their damage before they ever even have the opportunity to be overturned.

I think this lawsuit arose because of two reasons: Corbett wants the $60m to be kept in-state, and because he realizes that there's (surprise) a lot of PSU fans in Pennsylvania who aren't very happy with him.

Political ploy nonetheless, it's really hard to say. Nobody seems to be counting on the suit doing anything, but it's possible. If the case drags on, they could also get an injunction against the sanctions. IMO, it would not be fun having a program in limbo like that, but the other alternative is the case going through quickly, which we know is not happening.

I think most of us are in wait and see mode.

I admire your confidence. I can't say that I would have the same confidence with my history of futility and coming off 2-10 and 4-8 campaigns under my current head coach. But I'm sure you think that you guys are like... on the edge of greatness or something.

I completely understand the anger towards the people involved and what happened, absolutely reasonable. I believe as a society we have a fairly good set of rules and punishments available for people who break laws. Sandusky is in jail forever, Curley, Schultz and Spanier could be next and PSU will pay hefty fines to the Feds for Clery Act violations and in civil suits. Obviously reasonable and appropriate punishments.

My point is nothing is being overlooked at PSU if the NCAA is found to have done something illegal amd sanctions on football players are reduced. You don't have to feel torn at all.

We will all stop by and say hello when we play in College Park and you actually fill the stadium. I'm sure Stefon Diggs will love hearing the We Are chants echo throughout Byrd Stadium when we beat you with 20 less scholarship players than you have.

I feel like this is going to end up being very bad for both organizations... and PSU might even end up out of the NCAA.... I really dont think the NCAA is going to stand to be mocked and fought over this... I could be wrong, I dont know the in's and outs of the situation.

They will be kicked out for what reason? They are following the sanctions and are not involved in any of the lawsuits.

The only organization that this could turn out to be bad for is the NCAA.
