I dont see Spence playing safety

I like the Decastro and Mike Adams pick due to the need of OL the others I'm not sure. Spence is a undersized LB but good tackler. Rainey special teams weapon. Casey Hampton had ACL surgery in January and he may not be ready for the season so the Washington kid can come in at NT if not prep to be the future starter this being Hampton last year of his contract. I would say we had a solid draft and filled some need positions.

He would have been a first round guy but he had some off the field issues.

Spence is undersized, and I was surprised a team like the steelers drafted him. Normally I see the steelers drafting big linebackers who can rush the passer and is pretty good in coverage.

Adams had a 1st round grade but failed a drug test at the combine that caused him to fall to the 2nd.

Completely pissed we passed on Hightower and with the Spence pick it made ne even more pissed. Should have passed on decastro and taken Hightower. Then take Adams in the 2nd round IMO

James Harrison was bigger than Spence coming out of college, and was undrafted.

6'0 ft and 5'11 not much of a difference, weight wise I agree that's why I stated he will need to put on pounds. Spence was a highly recruited LB and one of the few that actually panned out in that #1 ranked 08 Miami class.

Well the O-line couldn't bloc a soul so now we are much better off. Pretty happy with it, my Bama homer wanted Hightower, but we got a beast with DeCastro.

Yo Mountie don't sleep on Spence being a good player at LB, in the pass happy NFL he will be able to cover TE's like Gronk and so on and the kid is just a good player

Spence is really really good

He was good in college. So was Pat White. Spence is small, and not a Pittsburgh type linebacker in the least. If he proves me wrong then great, but he will be in some other town in 2 years I'm guessing.
