Pittsburgh's lack of quality CB and RB play will be the downfall this season. First of all, even if Mendenhall comes back at 100%, he has always been overrated. Guy can't find the holes, dances way too much, and isn't blazing fast. He is an average back at best. Redmon isn't a starter in this league.
I would be fine with trading Mike Wallace for MJD straight up. Ben needs a competent RB back there with him. Wallace is a great receiver, but we would be OK without him. Since MJD's lifespan isn't great right now(RB's don't last long), Pittsburgh could also probably get a pick or two with the trade. I would look into it if I were Rooney. If I were Rooney, Pittsburgh wouldn't have 6 Super Bowls either, so I have no idea what I'm talking about

No way Jax would make that trade.. MJD is their franchise and they just drafted Blackmon.
Now, MJD might not be happy there and could demand to be traded.. Then it would make a little more sense but no way Jax would do that, IMO. So don't kill me MOuntie

Adams will be fine with time, IMO. Offensive line will improve as the season progresses. RB and CB are still a glaring problem that may even keep them out of the playoffs. Put MJD in the backfield with Ben and this offense becomes a juggernaut WITHOUT Wallace.

I question your thinking on that. WR lifespan in the league>>>>>>>RB lifespan. MJD isn't the young buck that he was, but has a few good years left as an elite RB in the league. Add into the fact he is unhappy in Jacksonville, and Wallace looks to be another Plaxico Burress in the whining department for Pittsburgh...
Makes sense to me. It really does.
