Steve Spurrier is so jealous of Nick Saban

  • No link because I'm on my phone and it was from twitter, but you're all smart enough to go find it. Basically he made more comments about how "Alabama has all of the advantages". This is the second or third time he's said things along those lines. Does he not realize Saban created the recruiting advantage he now has because he's such a great coach? Alabama wasn't pulling in #1 classes before Saban arrived. It's just funny watching a legendary coach get so jealous of another's success.

    Alabama has tradition, $, facilities. Saban didn't make Alabama. What he's done there is impressive but Alabama was a powerhouse before Saban and will be after Saban.

    South Carolina has none of those.

    Spurrier is 1-0 against your midget coach.

    Saban turned LSU around from a crappy program into an NC winner, and did such a great job that freakin Les Miles could keep it running. That's far more impressive than what Spurrier did at Carolina or Florida. USCe isn't the same level as Vandy or Kentucky, so GTFO with that.

    Sure Saban didn't make Alabama, but as evidenced by our horrible years preceding his arrival, it doesn't exactly run itself. It takes an elite coach to produce what he has. Congrats on 1-0. Beating Saban in his worst year of the last 4 with three losses total is quite an accomplishment. Doesn't mean anything stacked up next to all the titles.

    He is most definitely jealous of the success. He was known as the greatest coach of the modern era in the SEC, and now he's an afterthought. It probably hurts very badly.

    Taking a irrelevant program into relevance (though USCar isn't a Natty title contender at the regular and I see them receding in progress after this coming season)
