This ^^ roflmao LMAO at the idiotic Penn St fan referencing Kerry Collins' playing? in the Super Bowl and having perhaps the worst game of all-time while getting blown out.

Another Penn St fan should intervene and help getmyjive11 out. The "but Collins made it to the Super Bowl" is the all-time most retarded argument I've ever seen on tBB.

Actually it's funnier watching him carry on his moronic argument for a 2nd day.

He won 14 games that year. Laugh all you want, but what is the most amount of games that a USC QB won in a year?

    I'll wait for your answer.

USC QBs do not win in the NFL.

And getmyjive11 just continues to get owned

    NFL since 1967 (modern day)

    Penn State's NFL QB's
    ===================
    346 NFL games started
    179-187-8 W-L record
    75,265 Yards Passing
    425 TD's

    USC NFL QB's
    =================
    695 NFL games started
    348-347 W-L Record
    150,964 Yards Passing
    872 TD

USC starting QB's over .500 in NFL games. Penn St. QB's = losing record.

    USC ----------------PSU
    150,000 yards to 75,000
    872 TD passes to 425 TD's
    348 wins to 179 wins

Basically USC QB's have doubled what Penn St QB's have done in the NFL.

Now, tell me about Kerry Collins 112 yards and 5 Int's in the Super Bowl again.

Now run along, I believe Graham Spanier is waiting with your clown make-up.

The majority of all Qbs from everywhere suck.

I'm sure it's been mentioned ITT but where's the supposed hot bed now? Texas? Certainly isn't western PA anymore.

NorCal right now can hang their hat on the best QB in the league, the second greatest QB of all time, and a dude that just got a team to the SB. No suck.

NorCal is the place right now. Texas has potential with RG3, Luck, and Stafford but it's too early.

I agree with what you said in your other post as well. That was an idiotic article Jason Cole wrote since
the premise was over the last 30 years QB from southern California suck. Over the last 30 years or
(since 1984) southern California has produced more solid NFL QB's than any other region (5 of the top 35)
and California has 8 of the top 35.

Sure, there have been busts, but when you produce a lot of QB's, you'll have a lot busts.
If the article would have said after Carson Palmer, SoCal hasn't produced with the next couple years
deciding what kind of careers Mark Sanchez and Alex Smith had, then I would say ya that's fair.

If you are like the state of Florida, who have only produced 2 good QB's in the last 30 years, you
won't have many busts (at least 3, Tebow will make 4) because they aren't even good enough to get to the NFL.

Is going 15-40 for 110 yards and 5 ints while getting beat by 35 seriously considered 'playing in the Super Bowl'?

I don't think you have 300k+ QBs ya silly goose.

How do I know I win? You bring up Sandusky.

    Winner!

I actually cant recall one, and if Matt Barkley does it will be beacuse of NFL lockout and he crossed the picketline with the rest of his team to play with replacements.

I agree with the article 100% ... He laid it out pretty convincingly.

The best part of an obvious troll like this is that it gives me an excuse to continue the discussion
about a topic in which the region I'm talking about has completely dominated for the past 60 years.
    Thanks for the bump.

Using P.F.R.'s Approx Value player rating, here is a state by state breakdown of where the
Top 100 QB's in the NFL since 1950 were born and the state that their high school is located in.
(If a player had a different birth state than high school state, both states were counted,
although I think the H.S. state the QB played in, is better). So, the total numbers below
will exceed 100, because a few will have 2 states.

The top 100 is equivalent to roughly the top 5-10% of all QB's who have played in the NFL
and approx the top 25% of all QB's who at one point were the primary starting QB for
an NFL team during at least one season (approx 400 QB's).

    ----------------------------------------
How many of the Top 100 NFL
    QB's has each state produced?
    ----------------------------------------

California 28 QB's ..........(15 from southern Cal, 13 from northern Cal)

    Pennsylvania 12 QB's
    Texas 11 QB's

    3 states w/ 5 QB's
    New York, Ohio, Louisiana

    4 QB's
    Washington, Illinois, Mississippi

    3 QB's
    Kansas, Virginia, N.Carolina, Alabama

    2 QB's
Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida,

    1 QB
Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kentucky,
    Tennessee, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut.
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That article uses the last 30 years as it's reference point to "try" and say that
the southern California region has been terrible for NFL QB's the last 3 decades.
Yet, within those last 30 years, southern California has produced 5 QB's on
that list of the top 100 NFL QB's.

That means that SoCal has produced more NFL QB's on the all-time top 100,
just in the last 30 years (5), than anybody besides northern California,
who has also produced (5) in the last 30 years.

Basically that moronic article written by Jason Cole is like saying something as stupid as this -
"You have no game with the ladies, because you only had sex with 5 of the 10 most beautiful
women at our college. The other 5 turned you down."

Stupid = stupid - end of story.

California QB's aren't even worth recruiting... if I was a head coach I wouldn't touch them with a 18 foot pole, I love that Jimbo never recruits them as well

I have hated them for most of my life
