Stuck at the airport...

  • This sucks. I'm in San Diego for work and trying to fly back to Vegas. I have a delayed flight. So far, the following has gone wrong:

    1. Flight delayed.
    2. Went to the bar. Waited 20 minutes to get served. Beer was $10 for a Sam Adams draft. Stood there for 10 minutes to drink it. Left.
    3. Airport is packed out, had to sit on the floor next to unattractive female who thought I wanted to hear about what a horrible day she had.
    4. Finally got a seat. Baby next to me crapped his pants. It smelled like 40 day old nachos. The dad thought it was funny.
    5. Switched seats. Low and behold, unattractive female sat next to me and continued with her horrible day.
    6. Still sitting next to unattractive female as she blabs in my ear and I type this. And no, I won't post pics.

    Ya, I'm just not seeing the opportunity. I'm already hunched over my comp so she can't see this. I've already had to explain what 247 is. If I play along and take a pic WITH her then she may think that means I enjoy speaking with her. Which would only make the day worse.

    Gotcha. Ya, I thought my story sucked that bad. I make no claim to be a great story teller. I'd rather not talk to anyone in real life. Which is why 247 is perfect while sitting in my moms basement.

Due to a late shuttle bus and horrible customer service by SuperShuttle, a cancelled flight which made me spend the night at the Atlanta airport and wait on standby the entire next day, and 2 delayed flights I ended up arriving Tuesday night. My GF has unlimited frequent flyer miles and platinum status on Delta, otherwise I may not have ever arrived. My flight back the following Sunday was then cancelled and I couldn't leave until the following night...and that flight was delayed over 2hrs on the runway due to snow.

    Still fighting with SuperShuttle and Delta to get reimbursed for ruining my entire week of vacation.
