Suh is a dirty bastard.....

  • I missed a little bit of the game and got home and saw this thread and expected the kick to be a little more blatant. Im not defending him because I think he is a pretty big pos alot of the time, but that kick didn't look intentional to me. If it wouldn't have been Suh no one would have mentioned it. twocents

Funny how he has been voted the dirtiest player in the NFL for 2 years in a row and for years in a row on the thanksgiving day game he has pulled a pussy move on the other team! There is a difference between playing hard and playing dirty, Suh is a bitch

Back when real men played football on the bottom of every pile there were guys twisting ankles and pokings eyes and such. That was just part of the game and you got back up, ran and hit the next guy, and did it all over again. Nobody complained, but now a QB might break a million dollar nail or something. Football today in general is becoming a pussified sport. If someone can't take it, get the hell out. I'm not sticking up for Suh, but back in the "good 'ol days" there were probably guys who would make Suh cry. I'm sick of anyone being called a dirty player. This is a man sport. Once again, if you can't take it, get the hell out.

You probably are anti-Chik-fil-a as well.

I don't really get your joke, but I love Chik Fil A and Suh is still a dirty bastard.

So it can't be "real man football" without nut-grabbing IYO?

Its one thing when we're talking about fines for helmet-to-helmet hits, but it's amazing to me that some people simply won't acknowledge ANYTHING as being unsportsmanlike, and bolster their opinions by saying cheap shots are "manly".

    Who was grabbing nuts?

Not to mention there's no way Suh targeted hitting the QB in the groin, unless he had eyes in the back of his helmet. Suh is tough, physical, and sometimes plays way too agressive, but it's football.

So you don't suppose any nuts were getting grabbed at the bottom of the pile back in the classical age of manly football that we've sadly moved on from in favor of our current sissified football? Surely this wouldn't make somebody a dirty player, since there's no such thing as dirty players, right?

Also, this thread is about a hillariously blatant kick to the nuts, so it seemed relevant.

    Wtf are you talking about?

  • I don't get the outrage over the nut kick honestly. I honestly think, even watching it after slow mow, that it was purely accidental. His head was in the dirt before his foot was even halfway there. I would be more pissed, if I was a Houston fan, over that little extra pull that almost rolled Shaub's leg under his body.

I still find it severely odd that they tried to suspend Reed for a game and Suh hasn't been suspended yet, at least I don't think. While I think that the nutshot was accidental, I still think he is the dirtiest player in the game. I actually don't think that it's very close. I guess James Harrison and him are close but the drop off after those two is pretty big.

That's why I said "I don't think he was specifically targeting the nuts"....but you are homer if you think he didn't kick or thrust his leg just in case it landed somewhere on the QB.

    lol

I would love him if he played for the Falcons, and don't hate him or even dislike him now, but come on. Even if he played for your school in college, just be glad he didn't do this while he played for NU. At least I never heard this stuff about him while he was in college. Dude is dirtier than Jenna Jameson.

  • Some of the greatest defensive players were like Suh. Rominowski comes to mind. Get over. Suh would squash you pussys like a pimple.

Never said that he wouldn't. I wish he played for the team I root for. Doesn't mean that he isn't a dirtly player. I'm not sure that he means to be dirty. He just plays with an intensity and viciousness that lends itself to being dirty. Some of the hits have been overexaggerated but he's still got a lot of suspect stuff on his resume.

I personally like that from defensive linemen, linebackers and safeties. You need at least one or two guys on your D that are just downright nasty. One of my favorite players of all time is Ronnie Lott and he would have been thrown out of the league for laying WR's out like he used to. Players still thought twice about going across the middle and that helped his team out immensely.
