Summer Soccer Transfer Window Discussion....

SkySports and ESPN are reporting that CB Jan Vertonghen is joining Spurs in the summer and that the transfer should be finalized in the next 24-48 hours. Great signing for them if true. I was hoping Liverpool would show interest in buying him but apparently that won't be the case.

That's a good deal. ~115K a week for Lavezzi is just slightly over market value which is where PSG is as a program (so to speak).
They are really loading up to go after Pato and T.Silva. 68 million bid for the two. That will be very tough for AC to turn down but I think they will.
Pato will end up in Paris for 28 but AC does not, for probably less than 50, want to part with Silva. They just have no desire to sell him so to get him you have to produce a figure they simply can't turn down and still call themselves sound businessmen.

Just watched Belgium vs England.
Hazard is impressive, no doubt. Not sure he's better than Mata though.
The guy who may need a promotion and some hype is Fellaini. I love that guy's game. He's not elite elite but he's very very good and very versatile.
Lukaku is such a talent. Chelsea better handle him far better this upcoming season.

Sounds like Alba to Barca, Hulk to Chelsea and even Maicon to PSG are simply getting finalized.

Quotes flying around from RVP and others strongly suggesting he'll join Juventus. His dad basically said he was leaving but he wouldn't leave for another English side or either Spanish giant.
Thiago Silva may well be headed to Paris for 45 million Euros. AC didn't want to give him up but it looks like they will succumb to flat out good asset management. Gotta cash in at that price.
Giroud set to leave Montpellier for Arsenal. GREAT addition by Arsenal. If Silva to PSG and Giroud to Arsenal go through you can carve PSG into the Ligue 1 trophy for next season.

Biggest thing with PSG is Leonardo, their sporting director. Dude has a roledex of connections that would make Donald Trump jelly. If Neymar wasn't so set on going to Barca in 1-2 years he'd likely be heading to PSG. Leonardo is like the World Wide Wes of South America.
