    Damn sure going to be interesting. Pelosi has already said that if the mandate is struck down, the bill cannot be funded. With no severability clause in the bill, striking down the mandate could kill the whole bill.

    That would be the greatest thing that could happen. I definitely agree in a reform of health care, but not this route.

    Paying an extra $500 a month in premiums isn't a big deal for white people making 50K a year.

    There really aren't any "hand-outs" in the bill except adding a couple of million people to welfare. The Individual Mandate isn't a handout. It actually requires people to pay into the system before using it when they are older.

    I guess its not a "great bill" but we need to lower costs for those of us who actually pay monthly premiums like myself and others.

    Not everyone gets to have the government pay their healthcare Mr. USMCAGbashful

  • There needs to be some type of reform, but Obamacare sure isn't the answer. I wouldn't mind helping people who work and just can't afford it. I have no interest in helping anyone sitting on their fat ass watching me drive to and from work.

    In short, Obamacare isn't going anywhere, but you won't be required to buy health insurance if you don't want it.

  • I'm not a proponent of hand outs. And while I think that welfare isn't a flawed idea because some people really do need help, I feel it's been abused to the point of needing massive reform and regulation. That said, I have a hard time treating the health and wellbeing of our citizens as some sort of profit-based idea. I just feel like people's lives deserve more respect than that.

    Some sort of regulation I agree with. Forcing people to purchase standardized health care, I don't agree with at all.
