It's just not "No Country for Old Men" or "Unforgiven" as far as being an intense drama. There's some sort of comic relief in almost every scene.

a newer one that never got much pub that, imo, is very good is open range.

You should check out some of the old spaghetti westerns. The Man with No Name trilogy by Sergio Leone is awesome. A Fistful of Dollars is probably my favorite.

The Searchers is probably my favorite John Wayne film.

The Magnificent Seven is great as well. I love it since it is the western version of the Seven Samurai.

well, it ends like a lot of movies these days... just ends. i usually fall asleep to movies but i watched it in its entirety, so worth the watch 8/10 , just so you know my scale Unforgiven and 3:10 to Yuma i consider 9.5/10. I liked Open Range alot and would give that an 8, aswell, and Tombstone a solid 9. So it fell somewhere in between. Worth $1 at redbox by all means
